You are right about that.  It  becomes so automatic that you hardly even have to know what you are doing.  Welcome to the forum, by the way.

I like life fruit and flame fruit, especially flame fruit at night.  It is quite lovely.

Graveyard and Science center I can usually get around 10 on a good day.  The next day, maybe 2 from both spots.  It usually takes a couple of sim days to spawn more, so I usually wait.  I have my gardner hunt them down long before he is ready to plant and by that time, he usually has around 50 or so special seeds.  I am pretty lucky with the life fruit and money trees that come out of those seeds.

In France there is an island in the river, and it appears there is no way to get to it.  However, one of the adventures (sorry, I forget which) leads you into a tomb on the "mainland" which in turn takes you to the tomb that is under the island.  You then exit onto the island.  Anyway, the tomb that is directly underneath the island has many plants in it.  There are several money trees, all of the grape varieties, flame fruit and...... BOTH life fruit and death flower.

I assume there are spawn timers on the life fruit and death flower.  My first trip there I got the life fruit, the next time I went there was a death flower that hadn't been there before.  The life fruit was behind a group of pushable statues.  The death flower was next to the tent.

Oh, and incidentally, there's glowy butterflies there, too.

Great! I am sick and tired of planting seeds which aren't life fruit so thank you very much!  :)

If you don't mind using a cheat, you can do buydebug cheat to obtain life fruit plants ready to harvest at normal quality.  Just harvest them, dispose of them, and plant the fruit you harvested.

I didn't realize there was a way to get to the island, other than zeneporting or teleporting. I'll have to look for this quest you mention.

Cool! I got the axe, so I'll have to explore that. I guess I don't actually need the quest to explore the dungeon.

I think the quest is called "Tuatha's Garden". You'll need to have unlocked and done the Pang's Axe quest first Llama as you'll have to destroy the boulder by the remote fishing pond on the mainland (next to the river, difficult to say where it is on the map, pan out to mapview and follow the river until you see a fishing hole community lot) to gain access to the tomb underneath said fishing spot. The tomb will then naturally lead you to Datha's Garden (via a dive well) which is the tomb underneath the island on the river. :)

@ LlamaMama - the area you need to look for is called 'The Little Woods'.  You need to smash the boulders then proceed down the stairs to enter the Faerie Tomb.
There are lots of items to be had going through all areas of this tomb (see ddelancey's post above).  :)

Tuatha's Garden was a most annoying, yet profitable maze. I think you can find pictures of each level which will help you through it.  It's very dark and there are tons of flying insects buzzing around so it gets kind of confusing. I think there are three levels down and then a portal to get to the island.  The island itself was rather a disappointment but you come out of this trip loaded with pretty much everything you need. You should be able to find every butterfly here.

My family is currently in China and I've found no life fruit.  There's only one spot that has seeds at all and I haven't seen any Special Seeds there.

I think you can find Life fruit in Egypt. In the water tomb or the great pyramid.
