Problem When Adding Horse to Family

Every time I add a horse, be it via adoption or purchase, I get this:


Basically all their pictures light up, each time I select a different sim, making them jumbled and generally unmanageable. I think its been this way since 1.50 or so. Resetsims nor reset objects in MC doesn't help.  What happens when I double click is the pictures on the bottom that are supposed to be of the sim are of the horse, and so are the moodlets. Like so:

Edit: I just tried clearing caches, and crashed within 2 minutes of playing. I'm also on Windows 8 64bit.

I have the following mods:
MasterController [Cheats too]
StoryProgression [Fairies, Vampires and Werewolves related sub mod]
ErrorTrap
OverWatch

The same thing has happened to me several times when I added a sim to the household, not a horse though, but a human sim. I have no idea why, it's just one of those bugs again, I guess. I fixed it by exiting to main menu without saving, nothing else to do, I'm afraid. Hopefully they'll fix it more permanently in the coming patch.
