My Sim child died of drowning next to the pool.
« on: August 18, 2013, 08:20:14 AM »
I am so sad right now my decadynasty heiress just died from drowning and she was stood next to the pool. All of her motives were at least halfway so I am not sure why she died I was busy with other members of the household she was meant to be playing tag with her imaginary friend.
The slightly creepy thing was while she was drowning, into concrete, the imaginary friend was just stood there in the pouring rain holding on to an umbrella. Imaginary friends are evil I tell you.

Wow, that is strange.  I'm so sorry that happened.  I agree, IF's are very creepy.  I think it is the eyes.

I shouldn't have complained about the Sims being too easy. My game thought,oh easy are we,lets drown of your Sims in a way that isn't really possible lets see how you like them apples.

Did she drown in concrete, how strange, that shouldn't be possible? Is this game crazy, or what?! Thankfully, that has never happened to any of my sims so far. But they do drown in the community lot pools now and then, for no apparent reason. If they're getting tired and exhausted, why don't they just climb up out of the pool? Really weird if you ask me.

Whenever nasty and unwanted things happen to any of the sims in my game, active family or not, I just go to main menu without saving, and then everything is back to normal when I return to the same town again. Can't you do the same, or would that be against some of the dynasty rules, or something like that?

Wow, that is weird. And a little bit unsettling.  :(

I've had sims die from dancing too close to the fireplace, and once from too many candles on the birthday cake! (it was an elder birthday) but this is a new one.

Ratchie, there's something wrong with your second picture.  I'm not sure why, but it isn't showing up.  I hope you can fix it because I want to see that creepy imaginary friend!

Looks good now, thanks.

Had you been building with moveobjects and left it on? I've had sims do very strange things, including swimming through the ground, when I've been using moveobjects.

No I wasn't building and I didn't have move objects on. Just a really strange glitch.

Sounds like the next Ben Oliver story, to be told.

And Rachie, that is very creepy/ nightmare inducing. :o But was it raining when she drowned? It looks like it was...

Yes it was raining. It was the Doctor Foster death.
Doctor Foster went to Gloucester
In a shower of rain;
He stepped in a puddle,
Right up to his middle,
And never went there again.

I notice that in one or two lots of Union Cove that horses sometimes get stuck in the ground, with half their body sticking above the ground and the other half below the ground. One was the fishing area with the underground garden and the other was another community lot with an underground area (I think it could have been the park/museum lot).

Could it have something to do with basements?

With the horses, I've found reset * puts them back to a place where they should be. The weird thing with it is, they aren't actually down in the area that's the basement, but another part of the lot.
