Household too full for babies with only 6 sims!
« on: August 15, 2013, 05:00:03 PM »
I have been playing for a while with this family and am now playing with the second generation. It's 2 families in 1 house, one pregnant sim and one baby (making six). I wanted one of the families to have another kid, but the try for baby icon is greyed out and if I try to click it it says that the household is too full. I had this when the first generation was still living there as well and I had them move out. I've tried resetting sims, copying the household to library, deleting them from the game and putting them back in, moving, clearing the cache, but nothing works! Anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

Is the pregnant sim having twins or do you have any pets in the houusehold.

Almost definitely twins, post-spin. After that, you can't get another sim preggers. I've done testing

I don't know if she's having twins, she does't have fertility treatment and before when the first generation was living with them nobody was pregnant and there were only 6 grown up sims and I also couldn't try for baby. I have no pets and I just found out I can't adopt any either, also because the household is too full... :-\

So, you have a total of six Sims in the house and one of them is pregnant?  Is that correct?  If she has one baby, it will make seven Sims in the house?  Even if she has twins and the number of Sims maxes out at eight, there should still be room for two pets.  With Pets installed, you have a total of 10 spots available in the house, with a mix of Sims and pets (no more than eight Sims and no more than six pets).  What exactly happens when you try to adopt a pet with the phone or computer?  Do you see the option at all?  Are you running any mods in your game?

A total of 5 sims of which one is pregnant and before I moved out the elders a total of six with none being able to get pregnant, no pets and if I try to adopt a though phone or computer it says the household is too full, I also befriended a stray cat that is now just walking around my house, but there's no option to adopt though it's been there for days now.

And thanks! ;)
