Could this be the reason?
« on: August 13, 2010, 09:19:31 AM »
I've been having problems with sims being slow, and one family has been lagging, not saving and exiting from the game when I haven't quit. This family which I have problems with live in a house that I downloaded from the exchange. (I've mentioned this in a different thread, we came to the conclusion that the house had a bug) but I kept the house and family going. I turned my laptop on the other day and I had a problem with it, saying it can't start up and needs to restore the computer to the date and time that it was working fine, after that I started sims up and all of my saved games had gone, when I hovered over a box it said something like 'this family can't be played as it was saved somewhere that doesn't exsist now' so I put them all in the bin and started again. Just read a thread about deleting folders that I don't need, photos, videos etc, I then thought I'd look at downloaded content and everything was fine apart from the house that I've had problems with, it wasn't there. I've turned on sims now and it's not in the library and my game seems better.
I'm guessing the family had problems because the house wasn't actually there, but how was I able to play the game?

If you restored your computer to a point where you had not downloaded that house, that's why it no longer appears.

I downloaded another house at the same time and one a few weeks before but they are still there. But I'm glad it has gone because it runs like it should.
