Twice the Racket: A Dual Random Town Jump-Week 2: Team Shark
« on: August 13, 2013, 06:20:40 PM »
Intro:  What Sims Fight About...by Shark and Lolly Racket

Shark:  I am better than you!!!  Na, na, na,na...I'm better than you!!!
Lolly:    When are you going to grow up?!
Shark:  Right after we figure out how this dual random town jump bet, I mean project, is going to work.   We have to have rules, because I know you're gonna try and cheat!
Lolly:    I will not cheat!  How about whomever's family fulfills the most LTW's will win.   Spouses only count if they haven't actually started work on achieving their LTW.
Shark:  Well how are we gonna know who the winner is...seeing as we will be dead 16 generations from now...
Lolly:    Duh, haven't you ever heard of Forever Young and Age Freeze?  You and I are not allowed to die until the end of the Jump.  And I think an added bonus would be that you and I have to max as many skills, challenges, careers, etc as possible.  How do you like them apples?!
Shark:  Speaking of apples, you aren't allowed to use fruit to determine baby gender!  And we are gonna play on Medium lifespan!
Lolly:    Deal!  Let's shake on it!!!  And no crossing your fingers, or anything else!!!

Words from the Watcher:

So if you haven't gathered by now, I will doing two tandem Random Town Jumps...one for Lolly Racket, and one for Shark Racket.  They will go their random ways starting with gen 2 (gen 1 for both will be played in Twinbrook).  I haven't used any mods yet for story progression, however, that may change as I move along.  The plan:  one point/LTW, skill, challenge, career achieved.  LTW's can be gotten by any family member, while the rest must be completed by Lolly/Racket.

Thanks, guys!!!  I'm excited to see how it plays out as well.  It all started because I couldn't decide who I wanted to be the founder of a single Random Jump...so I chose both.  I will be doing updates by the game week, so you should get one soon, as Shark is only a couple days away from finishing the first week.

Week 1:  Team Shark

Dear Lollypop (haha),

Well the first week of our bet is complete, and I just thought I would rub it in about how I'm doing.  Since I'm sure you're going to share this letter with all your friends at Carl's, I want to give a little background information about myself, that isn't jaded by your feelings toward me.

First of all, the fact that this is the only picture of me taken before aging to a young adult makes me feel like the Watcher (renamed to the Ref) is already showing favoritism...but don't you worry your pretty little head, I will overcome.

Secondly, I want your "readers" to know that I am not really a bad guy...I have no bad traits (Flirty, Great Kisser, Easily Impressed, Athletic, Charismatic).  The reason for our "hatred" of each other is simply "Sibling Rivalry Gone Bad"

Now that I got that off my chest, I can get down to business.  So when I last left you, we had just come up with the terms of our bet.

Right after that, the Ref sent me to my birthday cake, and I am now a Young adult.  Again, there seem to very few pictures of me here.  Before I could even have my graduation ceremony, I was wisked off to university.

I know you're gonna think that I only went there to meet girls, but this was totally different.  Look at her...Miss Tamora King...Yowzer!!!

Turns out she lives in the same dorm as me...so I pulled some strings and had her bed assigned next to mine.  Guess the Ref doesn't hate me as much as I thought...haha.

Tamora fell for my flirty charms almost instantly...

And on the second day of class, we had a little bit of extracurricular activity in our dorm room.  I didn't want to wait any longer to be married...so we quit college and moved back to Twinbrook.  I figured I didn't REALLY need college to be a Professional athlete...I either have the talent or I don't.  And I GOT'S THE TALENT!

Once we arrived in Twinbrook, Tamora and I went straight home.  I proposed officially outside.

We then had a very private ceremony, and now Tamora is a Racket.

We didn't want to live with mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and Uncle, so we moved to our own house, just outside of town.  It has 3 beds, and 3 baths, and plenty of expansion room...so Tamora and I will be making lots of Rackets!

I figure it's only fair to let you know what your team is up against, so here's the down-low on my beautiful wife:  No Sense of Humor, Vegetarian, Natural Cook, Bookworm, and lightsleeper.  Her Lifetime is to be Jack of All Trades.

The day after getting married, I finally got to get my high school diploma...I think they're doing things a little bit weird here, but it's all good.

Tamora went into my grad ceremony in her black dress, but came out in...wait for it...Maternity Wear!!!  She has such a beautiful glow about her!

Life at our new house was pretty uneventful for the next couple days...I worked on my athletic skill, and got 1 promotion (lv 2).  Finally, I heard Tamora screaming...what could ever be the problem?!

Since I didn't smell smoke, I assumed the screams weren't life threatening, and just continued on with my man-bath.

And so Tamora gave birth to my first child, Aiden Racket:  Loves the Heat, Athletic...and he will be a Deep Sea Diver.

Well that's what I've been up to in my first week...try and beat that!!!

Your Superior,
Shark

Naa...my sims never really do grow grass under their feet when it comes to spouse hunting...that's the one thing I'm good at.  Thanks for reading, and now I have about 1/2 sim to play for Lollypop before I can write.

Sibling rivalry, know what that is.

Looking forward to reading the battle between the siblings.  Like how you set it up as a challenge for them.
That is something that I like about the Random Town Jump, it is flexible.  Makes for a lot of fun playing.

Week 1:  Team Lolly

Dear Sharkfood (that's what you get for calling me Lollypop!):

Wow, that's all you've done so far?!!! You better get a move on if you're gonna catch up with me.

So the first thing I did was age up to a Young adult.  I already had chosen Culinary Librarian as my LTW.

Then I went to Mary Baker's house, intending to get some recipes out of her...but she wasn't home.  So, I chatted up Newton Baker.  I know that I used to pick on him in high school, but he turned out very nice.

He must have followed me to the bistro too, so I figured I would have to bring him home with me...and marry him.

We were married right outside the bistro.

Speaking of bringing him home with me...it occurs to me that you may not know where I live, so I just sent along a picture of our nice 5 bedroom house...how many bedrooms did you say you have?  Oh, that's right, only 3 bedrooms.

Newton and I get to work making babies...hopefully he doesn't REALLY dislike children as much as he says he does.

Both Newton and I graduate from High School the next day...Mom and dad came to my graduation, hmmnn...I don't remember them showing up to yours!

Newt and I were having our housewarming party when I felt all glowy and warm.  Apparently I don't even get to start my job at the bistro yet because I am pregnant.

That doesn't stop me from reading recipe books, however, and I have earned both my Culinary Librarian LTW, and the Menu Maven Skill Challenge...How many points do you have, Shark?  Oh, none...

I was on my way to learn a recipe from someone in town when I went into labor.

I made it home in time for little Lysita Rackett to be born.  She wants to have a Perfect Mind/Perfect Body, so she has been given Athletic and genius as traits.

That's all for now...

Lolly

I'm firmly on Team Lolly, since I tend to have really strong loyalties to my favorite original townies. Welcome Lysita. :)

I'm just trying not to form favorites so I play as hard as I can equally for each challenger.  But, truth be told, I tend to like playing girl sims better...so we'll see how it goes.
