Genetics Longevity

How long have a founder's genetics lasted in your games? I'm playing a Random Town Jump Legacy and the eyes and hair of the founders is STILL present 4 generations later. I've never really had this happen before.

It wasn't my founder, but his wife (Jenny Jones-Brown) passed her eye shape down to the fourth generation until my game bugged out.

Leighton Sekemoto's eye shape and nose perpetuated through his great-grandchildren in one of my games, and might have gone longer had I not stopped playing that file. It's really just a matter of chance.

I was about to mention my life states dynasty founder's eye shape lasting for six generations, but he wasn't an original townie. However, generation two's spouse in that dynasty was Terry Moldano of Starlight Shores; possibly borderline due to being an original ghost instead of an original living townie, but whatever. Terry's mouth lasted for five generations, and his nose for four.

I had Pauline Wan's nose passed down about 6 generations in one of my games.

I am ten generations ( I think. Things got messy) into my legacy, and the Founder's hair color has persisted for all of them. His wife was Agnes Crumplebottom, so really, the second gen was destined to have that hair color, but still, so many gens in, it's a bit odd.

My uglacy founders were Skeet Bayless and Penny Pincher. 4 heirs had Skeets features with Penny's nose. Gen 5 heir looks like her grandmother (Vita Alto) with the Bayless ears which are still going strong. Juan Darers skin color only lasted 1 generation.

I gave a founder purple eyes before. They lasted until about gen 5 and then reappeared gen 7. I haven't had much luck with long lasting genes since though.

My heirs in my Winterly Town Jump kept their green skin for seven generations.

Part of me wishes that genetics would last longer! I always thought it would be cool to have a rainbow-colored Sim Legacy but it would get nearly impossible by the end to not have a normal-skintone child! However it's cool to see so many people have such luck with genetics! I've unfortunately haven't had any luck with multi-generational games, so I don't think I can contribute much besides that!

Rhoxi managed to get a all-rainbow Immortal Dynasty, though she had to make use of a lot of tricks to do it. It is possible to do the same for a Legacy, but it'd definitely be a challenge.

I wanted my dynasty founders genetics to carry on for at least a couple of generations, instead due to story progression circumstances (namely it just let the town die off right at the start  ::)) her daughter married an elderly Trigger Broke, that guy has strong genes he completely wiped my founders genetics from existence producing a clone of himself, who then produced another clone albeit with different hair and skin tone, he then had a female version of himself.

At this point I really wanted to get some different genes into the pool so I sent her to Uni to find a husband rather than marry an EA clone, don't know why I bothered as she brought so many bugs into my game on her return, broken family tree, could no longer travel without a random kid being spawned and to cap it all she had yet another female Trigger clone  ::)

But both her and her daughter have lovely purple and red hair courtesy of her IF mother and it has kept the EA clone face at bay for most of my dynasty although the nose crept in on the girls, that's the only thing though, the rest of their facial features are pure Trigger.

Gen seven is looking likely to take after her Egyptian father though, not played it for a bit so she's still a toddler but she definitely got his nose that is obvious already as it's so wide, so it looks like Trigger might have finally been knocked off the genetic top spot in my game  ;D

In one of my just-for-fun dynasties, generation two's nose came out of nowhere and lasted until generation five (generation six has yet to age up so I can check). I wanted my founder's hair color to last for a long time, but after generation two it no longer showed up. Instead, generation three became a near-exact clone of Agnes Crumblebottom (though her father was Mortimer), and the next two generations had black hair inherited from generation three's first marriage.
