Sound is Repeating and Repeating and Repeating

One of the sims in the household completed an opportunity and the "tune" the plays when this happens played; and hasn't stopped since. I've tried completing another opportunity, resetting all the sims in the house, moving, clearing caches...nothing has turned it off. I now have to play with the sound off because it's making me nuts! Can anybody help?

Have you tried to go to Edit town and evict the family without their house, and put them back again?

If that doesn't help, try one more step: Evict the family without house, save their house to the bin in the bottom of the screen, bulldoze their house, place the copy on the same lot, and put the family back again.

I used option 1 and it worked! Thank you so much, I would never have thought to try that. I was on the verge of deleting my game too! You saved my sim family.

If you have the same, or some other minor bug/glitch in your game in the future, try these methods before you delete anything, because they're often quite effective at correcting all sorts of game problems.
