Thanks. I have more to do, but I'm not quite sure how to open .sims3pack file into the CAP tool. I may just have to do the pictures differently on the ones I'd already uploaded.

If you still have the stickers there, you can just place the stickers to take the picture without actually recreating them - is that what you mean? Or are you trying to extract patterns from sims3pack files for a different purpose?

I'm trying to get the image in CAP so I can take a screenshot and edit it like I have with the ones I've done so far. I quite like the look of it. It shows the pattern over the "edge" as it were, which makes it easier to see that the texture is seamless or not.

Does that make sense? I'm probably not explaining myself very well.

No, like this :)

(Sorry, it wouldn't upload as a picture here using the Insert Picture button for some reason.)

Then I open that in Photoshop and crop it till it's just the squares where the actual texture is (as you can see above).

Oh, I do that too, but I just use the snipping tool to get it to my desired size.

Yeah that's pretty much all I do, but I keep the extra panels on each side and corner and then I add the words. It's time consuming, but I like the results. I just need to know how to download some of my old patterns and open them up in CAP when I no longer have the original CAP file so I can do the same with them.

If you install an old pattern, a copy of the file goes in DCBackup. Open this file in S3PE. You can then export the image, open it in photoshop, then save it as a PNG. Then you can import it back into CAP. Of course, it would be much easier if you still have the original files that you used as stickers to just import them again.

Thanks I'll give that a go :)

Note: I've only just started branching out into clothing patterns. Please forgive me if they don't sit perfectly right. If you would like to have the CAP file to fix yourself, please let me know. I'll be happy to share the file with you, and won't be offended if you wish to fix it :)
