Ambrosia Help

My sim is at the top of her cooking, fishing, and planting skills.  She has grown perfect life plant and caught perfect death fish.  I tried to get her to make ambrosia but when I click on the fridge it doesn't even show the recipe in the list.  I went back to the bookstore, purchased the ambrosia book, but it won't let me reread it because she already knows the recipe.  I have put the perfect deathfish and life fruit in the fridge and have tried having it in my personal inventory and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Is there something I am doing wrong?  So confused!

When you click on the fridge, did you click "have meal" or "serve meal".  You can only make single servings.  Just a thought.  If you click on serve meal it will not come up.

It's probably as Salty said.  If you're clicking on "Serve Lunch" it won't appear.

How did you get perfect deathfish? I didn't know that was possible in game (according to an old discusion on another topic). Maybe that is part of the glitch MasterSiwel was talking about?

Leto, perfect or outstanding angel fish will bait you a perfect deathfish... at least with my game it does.

How big is that change? Because I really thought this was impossible (and therefore bugged).

Not sure what you mean Leto by "how big is that change" ? I don't really know if catching perfect deathfish was ever impossible before as by the time I started playing TS3 I had also installed HELS and WA alongside my vanilla and was therefore up to date with the available patches at the time. So to me, I've always known that you can catch perfect deathfish with either an outstanding or perfect quality bait. Sometimes, my anglers (or even non-angler sims) can even catch the occasional perfect quality fish by merely having a normal quality bait, though I haven't seen this happen with deathfish.

I have gotten a Perfect Death fish before, mainly by accident but I still got one. I suppose the need for perfect death-fish is not great so not many aim for perfect, unless it is for the LTW of course.

Ambrosia always comes out perfect, no matter the quality of the ingredients.  The only time it's not perfect is when it comes out of the Food Replicator, but even then it still has the same properties as perfect Ambrosia.

Although it is always perfect, the food moodlet doesn't change either? Because as a personal record: another meal of my sims came out as +90, which I never broke again.

Other than the need to chose HAVE instead of SERVE whatever the meal is, look for the word "more".  Sometimes the ambrosia is in "more".  I stumbled with the same problem till I tried the "have lunch", (or whatever meal you are at), in order to make and eat ambrosia.  So, for a dynasty meal for others, you would have to make the ambrosia and put it down, then have them get it and eat it.  I will have only one person making ambrosia.
