Sim won't follow instructions

I have a sim who married into a family.  I had no problem controlling her, until after I returned from Edit Town where I was remodeling a house. 

I tell her to get food from fridge, take a shower,  I can tell her to kiss hubby and she does that.  But to click on bed, or the dresser, tell her to go somewhere and no actions shows up.  Tried to send her to the festival and nothing happened.

In the woohoo area, if he starts it she follows through; if she starts it, as soon as they head for the bed, the action is cancelled out.

Naturally, I didn't save from when I had restarted the game, it is a project story and the twins have graduated, I have a marriage with plans to start producing the next heir. 

I hate to have to go back to the old save, so I am hoping someone has an answer.

Sometimes, if a sim glitches, they can be fixed by moving them out of the home, using edit town, and then straight back in.

Have you tried the usual resetsim method on her? If that doesn't help, do what Wai suggested.

I had tried the reset several times.  I had tried restarting the game from an earlier saves, played up to where she married into the family.  Same problem.  Married them and moved them to another home, same problem.
What did work was I took an earlier save of the Singh family and moved them to MV.  Aged  her up to YA, which was what she was at when the problems started.  Moved her out, saved her.
Started my game up from the earlier save, before they had married, and then moved the Singh family out.  Move the Cage family (my sim family) into their house.  Used edit town to move her into the town and had him go and meet her, before he had aged up to YA. 
Triggered his aging up, and let them have some beginning romancing. 
Next day, he calls her, she comes over to visit, get the romancing going, they marry and everything is okay.   I am wondering how much was connected to the Cage's first home.  I have had a couple of glitches, but reset worked to fix it.  The founder was stuck in the road once, and then the Cage daughter disappeared, could hear but no green diamond over head.  Fortunately, the school bus arrived and she got on it, went to school and all was fine.
