Married my roommate, unable to control, access him.

I have been having problems recently with my sims game. I had my sim room with someone, they became romantically involved, then married. However, now that they are married I cannot use him like I would my sim. (see stats command to do things) I have tried other suggestions I have seen on other sites, like resetting him. I also moved him out of the mouse and then back in and that did not work either. Any other suggestion??

Have you tried evicting them both together, then moving them back in?

I don't know if this will work but you can try it.

1. ctrl+shift+c
2. testingcheatsenabled true
3. enter
4. Shift+click your sim
5. if it is available select "add to active family"
6. if it is not available move him out and repeat steps 4 and 5
