How do you stock a pond on your property?

A friend of mine is playing TS3 on the PS3 and made a pond to fish in on his property, but there are no fish to catch. He wants to stock the pond, so that he can fish, but he doesn't know how. I have never had to do it myself, so I don't know how to either.

How do you make your property value at $350,000 to accomplish the "Build a home worth $350k" achievement?

He said that he has tried various strategies, but can never do it. Again, I have never tried to achieve this, so I don't know if they mean that it's the value of the home and all of its contents or if it's just the property value.

Is been a while since I've played the console version, but as I recall when I dug a pond there were a few basic fish in it (goldfish, minnow). To stock it with other fish you have to catch 10 of any type and click on the pond. The option to stock pond will appear. As far as building a house worth a bunch of money, buy expensive furnishings and especially sculptures. That adds value fast. As I recall, I had a few of those jet sculptures. Just make sure your lot is a good size, or the fire meter will be a problem. Good luck!

Yes, as stated if you click on the pond to see what kind of fish are in there is says a few basic fish even though you don't see them swimming in there.  You can buy fish at the market or go fishing in other places and add them to your pond but I think your pond has to be empty for that to happen.  I tried to stock my pond when it had fish in it and it didn't have the "stock pond" option.  At least this is how it happens for Pets for PS3.  Also, I think I read you probably won't get any fish that jump out and back into the pond like in pretty much every other pond you see.  I don't know why.

You're right Grim, and it seems like you lose whatever other fish you had in there originally when you out something new in. None of the ones you stock disappear however when you add more, just the originals. I never had problems stocking a pond when there were fish there. Hmmm. At least not one I dug myself.
