Elixir Store Not Working, Help!

I don't know if there is a place for this to go or anything, so please move it if there is.
Anyway, with the elixir consignment (only elixir the others work) when i tell my sim to 'buy' they go to the counter, talk to the person, and then it does nothing. I tried placing another two registers on her owned property but none of them work. I even tried resetting the sims who worked at the counters and 'resetsim *' but that didn't work either. Please help!

Hello! Have you been able to use it and it stopped or have you not been able to use it at all? If you have been able to use it, you may have items that have negative days (the elixir shop will sometimes fail to send you unsold items back in a certain number of days and the items start getting negative days), so delete those. If you haven't been able to at all, maybe try buldozing the building and placing it back. I hope this helps!

I have been able to get into it earlier in on the game but now it just doesn't even open the menu. I don't think replacing the building will help because I have put two other counter things (?) on another lot , but thanks anyway.

Look to see if there is an option to Cancel Consignments.  You need to be sure to use the Sim that has placed items for consignment.  Sometimes if items don't sell and are left at the store, it will stop working.  Cancelling them should set it right again.

Edit:i checked and double checked with all my sims but there was no option to cancel consignments. I don't need it necessarily but it is really annoying that it doesn't work. Thanks again for your help. I just dont know what to try now

Did you try replacing the register?  And it really wouldn't hurt to bulldoze the building and put a new one in place.

i'm doing a dynasty in this file so i kinda cant replace the building. Maybe I'll buy it & replace it from there. I'll go on later & try.
Edit: I deleted the ones on my lot and bought the elixir store and replaced that one, but it still wont work.  i guess i will just say that the file has a bug that cant be fixed. Thanks for all your help though.

The same thing happened to me, in once instance, I just stopped playing that family, but since you can't do that...sorry. The other time it happened to me I just ignored it and played my sims story lines for a few sims weeks and when I went back, the problem was resolved, not sure why or how, but it did. I guess I am a little late even if I knew how to help. I hope your problem was resolved:)

Thanks, lol it didn't fix itself though. i finished it but it still didn't work. Thank you though.

I had the same issue and the problem was another Sim in the household had an old consignment, when I cancelled it the other Sims could buy again.
