Union Cove crashed game

I finally downloaded Union Cove, I want to get my grubby little nits on the pier fun o'won and hopefully find it a home in my IP game.

Anyway I downloaded UC & when I tried to start it to find the pier it crashed. I'm not sure what I've done wrong. Please help this sad desperate sims addict.

My guess is that you lack an expansion pack and started a new game from the main menu instead of loading the saved game that is available in this site.
