The maids keep freaking out

Both the male and female maids freak out in the same spots. They make the bed they freak out, they throw something away they freak out. Any one else have this problem? it's really annoying hearing them freak out every other day.

Maybe they are neat and hate picking up trash and stuff.  They both might have the neurotic trait too.  Here's a description:

Neurotic is a mental trait in The Sims 3. It's first available at birth.

Neurotic Sims will freak out at the most minor of provocations. They can become stressed easily and can be difficult to mellow. Luckily they take solace in sharing their worries with others.

They act like there's something in their way when there's clearly not

Probably just a glitch.  You may try firing them and hiring maids again and see if that helps.
