Can't join firefighter career!

Whenever I click on the map tag, the only option I get is to visit the fire department, not join it. This is in Aurora Skies, and I built my own fire station for it.

I built my own fire station for Sunset Valley, and it works fine.

I tried bulldozing the lot and placing the fire station again, but that didn't work.
