A while back I moved into Goth Manor and decided I was tired of the look and I demolished it and made a new house.  Is there a way to reset it back to how it was, meaning putting back the Goth Manor?  I don't live there anymore, someone else does.  I deeply regret demolishing it and want it back to the way it was.

On an added note this is for The Sims 3 Pets for PS3. :)

You can start a new game in Sunset Valley, go into Edit Town, and save a copy of Goth Manor to the library (without its residents). Then go back into your save game, evict the sims living on that lot, bulldoze the lot, and place Goth Manor there instead. You can then either put the occupants back onto that lot, move them elsewhere, or delete them. That should do the trick.

Geeze, sorry I mean to say this is for The Sims 3 pets and for PS3.  Oops sorry about that.  I'm sure the same concept appiies for Sugar Maple Coast but I don't really want to start a new game unless I have to.  I had to do that once when my game kept freezing and I had to start over.

I think you're stuck with it now. People don't understand the limitations of the console game. What Sunnydays says works for the pc game, but I don't think inserting something from a fresh game into an old save is possible on the console. Do you use a lot of save slots? If so, you could go back to before the demolition, but you'd probably lose a lot of game play.

Yeah, I didn't think her method works.  I can't understand why people post that stuff in the console section.  Anyway, I overwrite my saves so no luck on that either.  I think eventually I'll create a new save and keep goth manor up.  Question though, if I create a new save do I lose my trophies?

I can answer why sometimes people post things in the console section that only apply to the PC version because I have been guilty of it myself. When you view the main forum page, it mentions the last message posted, but doesn't say what board it is on. I know I have seen the topic title, gone and read the question or whatever it is, answered and posted only then to realize that it was on the console board.

I guess you could try re-building it? There might be floor plans of it somewhere..I could try and make one if you like? Can't say I'll be any good at it but I totally don't mind :p It saves you having to start a new game anyway. Just a suggestion. I know it won't be the same of course.
Or you could unlock it in another game and save it to My Studio and then replace the lot in your original game with the original Goth Manor? Not sure if that would work but this is probably the better idea out of the two that I have anyway :) Wish I could be of more help. (I'm really feeling for you on this one 'cause that house is my favourite).

Thanks for both suggestions. :)  However, in the console version you can't do things between two different saves, such as saving the house from one game and adding it to another but thanks anyway.

Oh I see, that would make sense. :)

I'm pretty sure that you don't lose your trophies. My daughter and I played the same user file, but different games, and accumulated trophies toward the total. Trophies are tied to the user, not any specific game, so you should be okay.

Oh. But I have the same version as you..maybe it can't be done with the unlockable ones? I'm pretty sure it can be done with the normal houses..I only know because I used the cheat to build houses and mess around and saved them to My Studio. In my normal game I wanted to replace a lot with another house I'd saved within the same game and all that showed up was the cheat houses and others..of course I couldn't afford it lol. I think in My Studio everything you save from any game can be saved there and brought into other save games. Like houses and furniture edits and patterns and such. But I've also tried replacing Goth Manor and it showed up with two different Goth Manors (I'm guessing both were ones I'd saved after editing) I was trying to replace it with the vacant lot but I didn't have that option..now I'm just really confused haha..well anyway.

Thanks. I might try it.  It can't hurt.  How do I add houses to an empty lot after I save them to my studio?

I just realized it sounds like I'm trying to make you do this..you definitely don't have to! I'm trying it now to see if it will work or if I was imagining things last time lol (and you even get a running commentary, fun fun :p). I'd just hate for you to start again or go without the house in your current game.
Ok so here we go...it's loading. It froze.
I have an empty lot in a different part of town but I couldn't replace it with the Manor (thought it was worth a try).

Oh, right..instructions! Go to the town map and go to Goth Manor then go to replace house. Hopefully if you've saved the original Manor before to My Studio before it will show up there. Choose to replace the lot with that. I have two for some reason. I'll go with the cheaper one, that might mean less junk and it might not freeze. It's loading again...loading...yeah, it takes forever. And it worked! It took a few minutes so keep that in mind. Hopefully it works for you too. I recommend doing this before you move in (if that's your plan) so you don't lose your sims' wishes and such.

I really really hope this works for you too! If there's something I didn't explain tell me and I'll do my best to clear it up, I can be a bit vague sometimes lol.

Thanks. :)  Did you mean for this to be on the same save?  Like saving goth manor before I rebuilt something else on it and replacing the new house with it?  If so, the problem is I never saved it. :(  I'm thinking I may just delete my save and start again.  From what I was told, I should still have my trophies there.  I just hate having to unlock the Karma powers again and doing the mysteries again.  I suppose in the end it's worth it, because I'll have Goth Manor again. :)

I think your karma powers stay unlocked. I played several different games in both Sims 3 and Pets for the console, and I'm pretty sure I didn't lose my Karma powers. You would have to redo the mysteries though. I wouldn't have kept starting new games if I lost my karma powers!
