Hey there, I'm Bianca. Bianca Vhoodad.
I do not like horses the way Mummy swoons over them but I ride pretty well, You see I HAVE to be good at it! Cos I'm Bianca.
I enjoy riding. It helps me relieve the stress of all those piles of homework.
The next day I convinced Maura to do her homework with me.
"I just don't get the hang of this, Bianca."
"Neither do I Maura, but you see I want to do great things."
"You always were an ambitious one, Bianca."
"I dunno, I sometimes feel like I don't understand myself fully. At times, I'm neither Mummy nor Daddy. I just don't understand..."
I have nightmares where I find out I'm just like Gretchen. Except that Mummy was charmed byu scales, that time.
It happened when I was a kid.
One day, Felicia and me decided to come home early from the festival because we were tired. We saw a lovely fairy man talking with Mummy.
Mummy had changed her look recently and had even dyed her hair.
We both were surprised whn they headed off to Mummy and Daddy's special little cabin. We were eager to see more of the fairy man and headed over behind them.
To our surprise the door was locked.
And from inside, we could hear words like darling, love and forever.
I refused to speak to Mummy, but Felicia did and said Mummy had apologized. But I find it unforgivable. How could she? I love Daddy so much!
Soon afterwards, Mummy was expecting a nooboo.
Maura, however refused to believe anything. Even when I was a teen and tried to convince her.
"It must have been the washing machine making the weird noises." She says dismissively.
"For goodness sake Maura, can the machine machine say words like darling?"
I didn't tell Daddy anything, but things changed when Gretchen was born.
The baby glowed all over.
"Everyone, the baby is sparkling!" Maura was frightened the firsttime she saw little Gretchen.
Daddy summed up things pretty quickly.
"Milla! This is a fairy child! This child is not mine!"
Soon, our parents marriage was in chaos.
Maura still insists its all in my head, but Daddy couldn't be wrong could he? I still can't bear to face Mummy but she insisted in speaking to me one day.
"Bianca, I hear you have an assignment to do in France from school. I and Daddy have decided to take some time in France to sort out some issues, and we've decided to take you as well."
"Sure, but don't expect me to help you in your issues." I snarled back.
I fell in love with France at first sight. The countryside was so picturesque.
Mummy and Daddy had more important business to worry about.
"Robin, honey..."
"Don't you dare calling me honey, you cheating...!"
"Calm down Robin" Mummy said with a warning glance at me. "Why don't we discuss this over a cup of coffee?"
"Bianca, why don't you go off to get your interview done?"Daddy said with a pat on my shoulder. I headed off, feeling really sad for Daddy. He was being so patient. It went pretty ok, Daddy told me later. They had a long chat, the longest they had had in years and he said he felt much more ready to compromise.
I could not wait to set off exploring the pretty country and decided to find an adventure! Maura is the adventurous one, but sure I can have a story to excite her!
I checked the adventure board and saw a notice asking someone to meet some Berthe Girard.
She turned out to be a pretty nice lady.
She even taught me how to sing a French song.
Meanwhile, Daddy and Mummy decided to sample some frogs legs for dinner.
"I'm glad we sorted this out Robin."
"So am I. But remember, honey, any more of your dancing and it won't be frogs legs that are broken next time!"
I was very excited about my new adventure and had a nice time reading a book Berthe had given me.
The next day I headed off for the Celtic Foray.
I found a nice treasure trove to examine.
The things these old French have hidden! What a load! I bet they are worth quite a pretty penny! I never was able to find Berthe's lost item but I am sure coming back soon for more treasure hunting when I am a young adult!
Mummy and Daddy also headed out to start an adventure. Daddy however buckled off when he saw the man giving Mummy 'the look'.
Anyway, I was glad to come back home! I had a lovely present awaiting me.
Another foal! Welcome Spur! I'm glad I'm back!
