Thank you. I may just wait & see if you can save & share the pier then. As my game struggles anyway. It will really struggle with UC then by the sound of it.
It's a lot of hassle for the pier isn't it. If you do manage to share it please let me know.
Many thanks for your help & replies
Actually, you inspired me. Right now the pier is in Sunset Valley being remodeled so you and anyone interested can just plunk it down anywhere they like.
The original pier was just a place that was pretty much all show. There really wasn't much your Sims could really DO there except walk around and chat and swim in the pool or play games in the game room. Then a venue was added for Showtime, and that was ok, but still there was just a lot of nothing to do. It all started because Anushka wanted to see if somehow we could build on water, and between us we figured out we could, long before EA made it easy to do. There was The Game Room, Gepetto's Toy House, (too crowded for kids to actually play in it), Bayside Boutique, which was just a room full of items of clothing and such, but you couldn't buy any of it, The Drag On Inn pub, and The Treasure Shack which was supposed to be a tourist souvenir shop. Again, you couldn't buy anything so what's the point? There was/is a picnic area, a dance floor, a pool, and a large rest room.
The changes I'm making will make each building on the pier useful. The first building on the left will be Salty's Game Room, (video games, pin ball, etc.), Gepetto's Toy House, (now room for kids to play in and an upstairs place for a Sim to crash in), The Coffee Cup, a coffee house, possibly with internet,
the middle area will still be picnicking, pool, dance floor and rest rooms, The DragOn Inn for a juice bar,
and
??, haven't decided on what to put in the last building but am thinking Foggy Bottoms Reading Room or I could put a stage venue or a hot air balloon area there. Any suggestions?
