CHAPTER SIXTY

OH JESUS!

Wait, she's okay, thank Go-

You know what, Tati? Just stop.

Yup, Tatiana, Margrethe, and Gustav are in Egypt! Margrethe and Gustav for their honeymoon, Tatiana because she's so close to Visa Level Three and I want a big vacation house already!

Tatiana was immediately raiding the tombs, while Gustav chat with the locals and Margrethe started learning how to charm snakes. Gustav bought a new snake basket for Tatiana, as well as several others in case another glitch hits and for all of the immortals to jam together. I don't have Late Night, so I can't form a cool band like Pam did with the Dreamweavers, but I can combine singing, guitar, a toddler with the xylophone, and some snake charming baskets for a cool performance. Unless someone gifts me a violin from the store, then I can throw that in as well.

Also, I learned that the Royales have even more extended family after the wedding. Aunt Jodi Andrew has started dating Bimble Dukes, daughter of Letitia Dukes, a frequent patient of Elisabeth and frequent raider of my garden. He also has a teenaged sister named Jasmine, who I saw as a toddler back when Elisabeth first started doing vaccination and free clinics. Strangely, Bimble and Jasmine don't have any father listed on the family tree.

Tatiana had an...interesting...time interacting with the shopkeepers for some adventures. Gustav was chatting everyone up and having charming conversations while poor Tatiana brought out all of the crazies.

Where was Margrethe in the middle of all of this? Why, she was off having a riveting conversation...with herself.

She and Gustav later bailed on staying at base camp, instead electing to spend a few days at one of the smaller campsites. No pesky neighbors having loud conversations in the middle of the night, no nosy grandmother yelling about wanting to be a great-grandmother, just peace, quiet, and burned lettuce.

They still have a while to go before I make them try for a baby, but it's getting closer. They're nine days away from aging up to adult and Jimmy has a minimum of three days left with us, so there will be a nooboo in the house relatively soon. Bringing in the next generation later in life will ensure that there will be space for generation six to get married and have a baby, but Gustav will probably be gone while she's a teen and generation seven's father will probably die while she's a child (I plan on marrying generation six off to an elder or NPC to ensure space in the household). Jimmy won't be around to see his grandchild at all...goodness, nearing the end of a dynasty is depressing!

It was late at night when Tatiana was off collecting turquoise for an adventure. Her first trip to Egypt was spent working against the corporation with Illsiminati ties, by now, on her second trip, she's working for them and getting the turquoise to help create fake artifacts. All in the name of a vacation house, you can't blame her.

There was one final piece of turquoise for her to collect, but it would take forever to go all the way back to the bridge to cross and get to the other side of Al Simhara, and an even longer walk when the road stopped.

But it would be a much shorter trip if she swam across...

I watched Tatiana like a hawk the entire time. She has swam long distances before, back when she visited France as a teenager, but she was older and more tired now. To say I was worried would be an understatement, but she was too far out to sea to make a return trip if she got too tired. All I could do was wait.

And wait.

And wait.

Eyes wide and nerves thoroughly wracked, I waited.

...
...
...
...

She made it!

Exhausted, Tatiana collected her final piece of turquoise, delivered it, and went back to base camp to sleep.

She ended up waking up to this...

...then promptly went back to bed. She just couldn't deal with that right now.

The next morning went a lot more smoothly. Tatiana woke up early, ate a quick breakfast, and went off to do some adventures. Gustav got up next and was eating when Margrethe came out of her tent, smacked a fly, and ate it.

Oh, Margrethe.

Margrethe: I like the color five and the number blue.

She began to snake charm shortly after breakfast, having purchased a king cobra the night before.

She seems to be doing pretty welllNOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE.

Fully determined, Tatiana made her way through the tomb under the market, and achieved Visa Level Three.

I bought the cheaper of the two large palaces and made a few minor tweaks. Nothing major, just some better plumbing and more comfortable beds. I did add an outdoor sculpting studio for Margrethe and Gustav outside of the tiny guest house, as well.

Oh, and the coolest new toy ever...

Poor Gustav could only watch his wife as she flew down the slip-n-slide in her wedding dress. Reminds me of the time my best friend and I made a slip-n-slide out of a  tarp and a hose in his backyard over the summer.

I nearly bypassed my fingernails and ate my hand in nervousness as Tatiana began rooting around in a casket. I've only had one mummy encounter in the whole game so far, and it ended pretty well because Tatiana tricked them into walking right into a fire trap...you know what? EA should release a flamethrower as some new premium content.

Margrethe and Gustav went home early, but Tatiana stuck around for a little while longer. I realized far too late that I had forgotten to install a burblar alarm at the vacation house...

After Tatiana called the police, the burglar made it up the front stairs. I was in full on panic mode, so what do I do? I rev up the moodlet manager and have Tatiana zap her several times! The policeman arrived just in time, too!

Tatiana didn't even stick around to watch the burglar be formally arrested. She was too busy planning how to tell everyone how she defended a castle with a small piece of technology.

I laughed at the king cobra. Gosh, like Raia said, they better be anti-venom.

Thank you for making a beautiful wedding scene! That was lovely ♥ and hilarious when you notice there's a cow in the background scene :P

You always have a lot of stock of crazy screenshots; I think that you're really live up with that username, Crazylittleloon. I love every bit of it and you’re good on capturing it all as well. Bravo!

The screenshot that I loved probably the night scene with Tatiana, that was beautiful and sad to see someone alone there, looks so lonely for me. But, I changed my mind when I saw someone streaking. Probably not, just want to makes her guilty pleasure stays hidden although everybody already know I suppose :P

I really look forward for the craziness update in the next update! ;D

That or sims have a natural immunity to cobra venom. Or they're like that one guy who got bitten by a cobra, so he got down on his hands and knees and bit it back. The cobra died, he lived (and yes, that actually happened).

Congrats to the newlyweds! The wedding set up is beautiful. Congratulations on the visa and new holiday home. I've never seen a foreign burglar before.

Thank you! I spent a good half hour setting everything up. My mom used to be an interior designer when I was in elementary school (now she does statistics...quite the leap), so I know a lot of ins and outs of decorating, outside or inside. I used to help her design rooms for fun.

The new holiday home is great. There's so much space and a pool!

I got foreign burglars all the time whenever I go to the family home in France. They follow me everywhere.

Thank you! It was actually a last minute addition because I felt the setup was missing something, and it sealed the deal.

No problem! The wedding setup in the barn is probably going to be taken down sometime soon, since there's only one wedding left and I'm getting Pets for Christmas. I plan on getting some dogs for the family, so the barn will go from wedding area to dog playground.

Ha, it is Riverview, after all. Riverview is a lot like where I live, only with less hills and trees. I live in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania, which is changing in a few months because I'm moving to a city up north.

Crazylittleloon has been my internet handle since early 2011. I'm the smallest person in my family (my thirteen-year-old brother is taller), I was a complete neurotic mess as a child, and I have a lot of strange quirks, so it fits.  ::)

Yup, you do fit the username completely. I don't seem to fit mine at all, I hardly talk about pugs.

I haven't checked this story for ages.

I can't believe that Beatrix is a Goth! That's crazy. I also was shocked that she's from the past. Well, obviously she's from the past, but I mean she time travelled. And thank goodness that creepy Egyptian woman didn't burgle the house. I didn't know you could be burgled overseas!

CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE

Wow so I went on another accidental hiatus. Sorry about that, I had a lot of Christmas parties and shopping to do. My aunt and two uncles came to visit over the weekend, and I actually haven't played for about a week right now.

It's Christmas Eve and normally I'm super busy because I've taken over the baking from my mom a few years ago, so I'm up at seven in the morning and working on baking for the next ten hours or so making cakes, cookies, and starting dinner. I make the best Christmas cakes out of my entire family, and don't forget it. I can write right now because the first round of cakes are in the oven and I can't do anything until they're done, so phew.

It's also my dad's birthday today! He told me this morning that instead of turning fifty, he's turning twenty-five. Oh daddy...I got him a big box of chocolates and a fancy grilling set for Christmas because I don't believe in combining presents. If you're my friend or family member and your birthday is on Christmas, you will get two gifts instead of one from me.

Anyway, when Tatiana, Margrethe, and Gustav got back from Egypt, there were still huge amounts of drinks leftover from the wedding. I didn't want all of that nectar to go to waste, so everyone had to sit and drink it over the span of several days. Margrethe and Gustav also rolled wishes to have their first child. Soon, very soon my friends...

For Victoria, it can't come soon enough. Life has been so boring without any children running around the house, and all she ever really does is fish and garden, sometimes taking a spa day with Tatiana..

Something wacky also happened with Elisabeth's hair when she went to break boards. Gaining a new belt reset it to her normal hairstyle.

Elisabeth also received a very strange opportunity asking her to donate her heart, and that they would replace hers with a mechanical one.

Um, why not just give the mechanical one to the person who needs it...?

Either way, I took it, got lots of money, and handed Elisabeth her brand new cane.

Jimmy also retired from his career as a scientist. It was a good long run, but now he just wants to sleep and fish all day.

Margrethe and Beatrix were the only ones home, so they came over to celebrate with him.

Margrethe forgot her tinfoil hat and now the government is broadcasting voices into her brain. Again.

Her complete insanity aside, she has come along very well in her sculpting career and SuperMax. She's now a prolific sculptor, at level eight in her career, and just won a service award for her skills. Speaking of which, check out the amazing ice sculpture she carved. 10/10, would ride into battle.

I've seen too many butt fires when sculpting with metal, so I once again bypassed my nails and went straight for my fingers as I allowed her to very carefully create a metal sculpture in her graduation gown. Silly goose.

The next morning she was able to complete it, and I immediately sent her back to creating ice sculptures. I need more of those griffin sculptures to line the pathways.

The house has been relatively dull other than that. Beatrix, Tatiana, Elisabeth, and Gustav go to work, Margrethe sculpts all day, Victoria is in the garden, and Jimmy hogs the trampoline. Margrethe and Gustav are close to aging up to adult and Jimmy is at ninety days, so the nooboo is right on our doorsteps.

It was a normal day of nothingness, but then a needed tragedy stuck in the middle of the night.

Jimmy Royale passed away from old age at ninety one days old. If he had held on just a bit longer I might have considered letting him become a grandfather for a short amount of time, but alas the game mechanics can be cruel overlords.

Everyone was crowded into the bedroom sobbing when Grim turned to see a familiar face while standing next to the portrait of Beatrix's half sister.

In all of her oblivious glory, Margrethe thought this was the perfect time to make friends.

Elisabeth was heartbroken and spent the day locked in her lab on the third floor, refusing to come out. She kicked up a storm, making potion after potion for I don't know what.

Meanwhile, I arranged Jimmy's basement memorial and placed his headstone in the family graveyard. He was the first spouse since Billy to have a full-sized headstone.

But life without Jimmy moved on. The family mourned, Elisabeth cried, and Gustav worked on making friends to acheive his lifetime wish. He would head to the consignment shop every day after work and chat with the clerks until it was time to go home. I saw some interesting this while he was there, from this woman's ridiculous outfit...

...to Candi Beam making a move on Danette Carver. Someone needs to whack her in the face.

Margrethe has been doing pretty well despite her father's passing. She got a service award for her sculpting skills, is now an Ice Personality, and has strangely started hugging her stomach at random intervals...

Eh, no matter. Right now we have more important things to do, including Gustav aging up to adult!

Thankfully, he evaded a mid-life crisis.

Margrethe, however, did not.

After Gustav got home from work, the two decided to go out on a date to get away from the pack of old ladies inhabiting the house. With Jimmy's passing, Gustav is now the only man in the house, and I fear that he may turn into a woman at a moment's notice...

The pair went to see Sharks...On Land! (I'm guessing that it's kind of like the unholy badness that was Sharknado), then went across the street to the Water Hole Juice Bar for some fun and games. They began by playing juice pong.

Meanwhile, Margrethe was giving a health seminar at City Hall and showed everyone how to do the Heimlich Maneuver on some poor sap. This was where I started yelling "NO NO NO NO NO" at my computer. Why? I took a first aid course towards the end of tenth grade (shocking, considering that I pass out at the sight of blood) and am certified in first aid, using an AED machine, infant CPR, child CPR, adult CPR, and elderly CPR. You NEVER EVER practice any of these things on an actual person because CPR actually breaks your ribs, and if you do any sort of maneuvers on someone who isn't choking, you can seriously injure them.

Back to the story now...Gustav won at juice pong and started doing this weird dance, and they went back to the house.

That night, Margrethe started having a whole host of interesting dreams...

Now if you'll all excuse me, I have cakes to pull out of the oven.
