CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVEWho wants to eat Thanksgiving dinner with the Royale's?
Well, more on that later.
I had just finished uploading my pictures on Tuesday afternoon and was about to start writing when my dad came home and I had to help load the car. We were on the road for about four hours because there was a huge accident on the interstate but we eventually got to my grandfather's old house. There is absolutely NOTHING out here. The nearest store is twenty minutes away, it was only this year that they actually started delivering pizza, and there's a bunch of creepy abandoned houses and deer. At least my uncle has HD digital cable (despite the only thing being on almost a thousand different channels being shows like Maury). Thank god for my 3DS and knitting...
Thanksgiving was great. The day before I stayed over at my aunt's vacation house with my brother. I watched Jay Leno with my uncle, and in the morning we ate cornbread and watched the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the dog show. My biological uncle and parents showed up, we ate a HUGE amount of food, and then I passed out on the couch in the living room with my uncles and dad while they watched football. We ate dessert, my dad and uncles watched more football while my brother watched cooking shows with my mom in the other room and I played Animal Crossing on my 3DS.
Now I'm laying here on the floor back at my grandfather's old house listening to my biological uncle clean compulsively (he has untreated OCD and is pretty much always scrubbing something down) while I watch TV and siphon wifi off of my mom's tablet.
What's interesting is that a bunch of the rooms in the Royale house are based off of some rooms in this house. I should take some pictures later...
All in all, it's been a good week so far, and I learned that my biological uncle is skipping waiting until I graduate and getting me my new laptop for Christmas. 8 whole GB of RAM! Though it's a MAC, so I can't get the Create a World tool, but at least it'll be faster than my dinky little netbook! Yay!
Anyway, back to the Royale family and their suddenly painfully slow lives.
Margrethe and Gustav graduated the day after aging up to Young Adult. Margrethe was declared valedictorian and was voted most artistic, while Gustav was voted most likely to achieve his lifetime wish. Both graduates got a chance to toss their diplomas in the air before they were ferreted away to their respective places. Margrethe's to her museum room, Gustav's to the spouse memorial room. Since Gustav has been living in the house as a human since he was thirteen, there are lots of photographs of him for the memorial.
I've begun cutting back on the size of Victoria's garden. So far, other than money trees and life fruit, she has three of every plant except for the fruit growing on trees (those she has two of each). She would be out there at five in the morning and wouldn't come in until dinner time, even if she got help from Jimmy. I scaled back, so now she has two of everything and one of each fruit on trees. I also cut back on the money trees and life fruit. The family is now sitting on over a million simoleons, so there isn't much worry about money anymore. Victoria also spends much less time in the garden now and can go fishing as much as she likes again!
Margrethe has a very relaxed schedule. She wakes up a little after everyone else, has a quick breakfast, and heads up to her studio and gets right to work. She talks to herself for her social needs, and uses the bathroom next door for her shower needs before going back to work. She joins the family for dinner, finishes off a sculpture, then heads to bed.
Margrethe wears a Danish soccer uniform as her athletic wear. Care to guess why?
Jimmy really enjoys his car that Elisabeth gave him, a vintage car. It's really slow, the same speed of the sloppy jalopy, but it makes up for that in coolness factor. Plus, it's much easier on the eyes than Margrethe's bright orange and purple skullmobile.
Jimmy is a mad scientist now, so he has a lot of time off. He spent one morning jumping on the trampoline and nearly made it over the house. Wheeeeee!
Margrethe made it to level ten of her scultping skill, so she set to work making topiaries in her formal wear. Tatiana painted her portrait and took her photograph, so she's well on her way. She also got her fourth BlackOp, "Sims on Ice", and I bought her the Artisan Crafter lifetime reward. Nearly everyone else in the house also now has "Hardly Hungry" and "Dirt Defiant", so only Gustav and Margrethe are the ones that really need to eat anymore.
The shower in the purple bathroom went kaplooie.
Like the plumbing in the Royale house, suddenly all of Elisabeth's best friends are dropping like flies. A bunch of her human friends passed, and then for some reason her relationship with her cars dropped. Time for yet another scramble!
But before that, the Royale family had to sit down for Thanksgiving dinner.
After a filling dinner of stuffed turkey and autumn salad, and dessert of key lime pie, they gathered around to drink some nectar before heading off to bed.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
