CHAPTER FORTY-FOURI hope everyone had a nice Halloween! I stayed home and frightened small children. It was glorious.
Now it's time for the Christmas and Thanksgiving decorations to come out! As a warning, I will be on hiatus for around ten or eleven days later this month, because I'm going to my grandfather's old house in the middle of nowhere for Thanksgiving. After that, there will be no more long breaks until March of 2014, but I should be done with the Royale dynasty by then. Get excited, we're past the halfway mark!
The first day of NaNoWriMo 2013 was today, and I've already finished the prologue of the novel, titled
Where They Come From. I'll be posting it to my deviantART later tonight, so message me if you want a link (please want a link...).
Elisabeth: Will the characters be visiting us at all?
Well, Noelle might drop in later on. She's kind of busy right now.
Tove: I see that you scrapped your idea to end the timeline you've done over the years. This year is a prequel to the series, right?
Maybe.
Tove: But it takes place in 1986! The only ones alive at the time were Ilmestyskirja, Zjevení, and Vervaard!
Larisa: Hey! What about me?
Tove: You were six years old and lived in the Soviet Union. You weren't important until you were fourteen.
Larisa: You are the reason why I hat-
Tove: YOU WANNA GO, MATE? I'LL SMASH YOUR-
Tatiana: LOON! DO SOMETHING!
Larisa, you are almost thirty-four years old. Tove, you're twenty. ACT YOUR AGES OR SO HELP ME I WILL SEND YOU BOTH BACK TO THE LOW POINTS OF YOUR LIVES!
Tove: You wouldn't.
I would. Now both of you go back to your boxes and think about what you've done.
Elisabeth: Have you ever considered going into politics?
Bad idea. I'd punch out the opposition because of my low idiot tolerance.
Life at the Royale house settled back into routine. Elisabeth started work at the hospital as an organ donor. Reminds me of an old joke I had with one of my friends...
Victoria: What was it?
We joked that sims have endless kidneys. I don't know why it was so funny.
Baby Margrethe pretty much lives in the baby swing. It fills all of her needs, so she rarely needs to be tended to. Perfect for people as busy as the Royales!
Beatrix and Victoria are almost always home, so they spend a lot of time with the new baby. Beatrix loves being a great great grandmother!
Victoria has settled into the role of great grandmother. She has been an elder for such a long time and Tatiana is
still an adult!
Victoria doesn't quite know how to work the stroller, though...
Beatrix has a higher painting skill than Elisabeth and doesn't have to work everyday, so I'll get her to paint Tatiana. It shouldn't take too much time.
Tatiana monopolizes Margrethe's time, always beating everyone to the baby swing.
Even Elisabeth has a hard time getting to her own daughter!
Beatrix managed to sneak a little bit of playtime just after Tatiana went to bed.
Beatrix also got a brand new grill. I got it from sharing a bunch of memories on the Sims website and recolored it to match the house.
The search for a sixth best friend has proven fruitful! Tatiana has locked up the challenge with her next best friend, Lisa Jefferson. Now we just have to hope that Lisa hangs on long enough, since she's an elder. This just leaves a maxed career, elder pieces, and a final BlackOp.
Speaking of the final BlackOp...
I sent Tatiana to the warehouse because I saw an option for her to pick up a side job. It turns out...IT WAS AN OPPORTUNITY! OF THE BLACK VARIETY! With the completion of the "Check Art Security" opportunity, Tatiana got all of her BlackOps the day before she ages to elder! BOOYAH!
The night before her birthday, Margrethe napped in her baby swing. It was a perfect, quiet moment.
That morning, before everyone ran off to work, Elisabeth carried her daughter to her first birthday cake.
I love it when she raises her arms above her head.
THE BLONDE HAIR LIVES ON!
I really wish that Beatrix's hair would carry on. In my first dynasty, the founder had dark red hair and it carried on.
Oh well. Margrethe is still the ultimate cutie!
Everyday:
Formal:
Sleepwear:
I decided to dress her in orange since she was born so close to Halloween.
The day after Margrethe was born, Beatrix opened the mailbox to find a package from uncle Reily-
Beatrix: Uncle Reily?!
Yes, uncle Reily.
Tatiana: But Margrethe's only uncle is Jimmy's brother Garland.
Beatrix: Unless they finally had a baby...
Who had a baby?
Beatrix: My half brother and his wife.
Victoria: Wait, you have a half brother?
Beatrix: Yes, and a half sister. They were quite a bit older than me. My half sister pretty much raised me, since my mother, her step-mother, ran off after my father died. He was very old and she just wanted his money...luckily my father had trust funds for my half brother and I and my half sister had a job, so we were able to live off of that.
Victoria: I have an aunt and an uncle?
Beatrix: And a great aunt from my mother.
Tatiana: Well...this is all a new development...
Elisabeth: ...sure...
...um, while these guys have their moment...
Margrethe was very taken by the doll and named him Gustav. Elisabeth has an imaginary friend metamorphium potion hidden away in the trunk her logic, so maybe he'll become a future Royale spouse...?
