It has been a strange couple of Sim days.  We allowed the slim and well-dressed Antwan to go to France - he really wanted to travel!

The first thing that happened, on arrival, was that he immediately put back on the 100lb of fat we'd removed earlier!!  Next, he explored a few tombs ... all of which had previously been opened up by an earlier generation of Trotters, including his Step-mother who lives in the same house.  However, although everything was visible on all levels, a large number of doors had manage to re-lock and now require further adventures to get the keystones for access.  Strange.

He's just got home, ready to get back in the Body Sculptor again ... and then get a proper job.  I wonder whether the Consignment Store will still be working?

Moderators ... if you want me to shut up, please say so!  ;)

OK ... I seem to be allowed to dribble on!

Ant [as we call him] got slimmed down on his return from France.  He's now got a stupid job making people put on different clothes and hair, which is really exciting  ::)
He has a lifetime wish to get a collection of Relics, so after the trip to France we sent him to China.
BIG MISTAKE.  China is broken  ;D
He can walk into those open Tombs.  But as soon as he gets in there, he can't do anything.  "No action available".  He can't even get out the way he came in!!  The only way out is Ctrl-C, resetsim antwan trotter.

What I don't understand, is why it is so bad for some players and wonderful for others.  I have not yet figured that one out.  I have had my share of bugs and the normal problems, but so far not to the point of no game play.  If there were bugs in a few, I would think it would be all of them.  Is is too bad about your game and hopefully there has been enough simmers with all of the bugs, that maybe, just maybe something can be done.  Funny how EA can take the time for two hour Q and A episode on a new game, but can't take the time to answer questions on already bugged material.  Maybe it will get worked out, I guess I feel more blessed each day when I turn mine on and play my game.

The antics of the Trotter family are amusing, but unfortunately, off topic.  Slingsby, you might want to consider starting a thread on the stories board to share your Sim family.

I agree. My first install had zero bugs in it until the game just crashed and died one day. So I re-installed (this time no custom-made cc allowed) and it has several bugs in it! Don't get it, same disks used for re-install, supposed to be cleaner as no cc, laptop running in good condition with regular maintenance. Go figure!  ??? I guess EA no only made the sims unpredictable but also the programme itself hehe :-)

Edit: So sorry Pam for carrying on with the off-topic - I couldn't resist posting this.

Uhhummm, back on subject of traits, lol.  I don't really like to use cheats either, but if I move someone in that has evil or some trait that I don't normally use, then I will change it.  I know you can buy the changes with points, but I don't like to wait that long.  I guess it just depends on everyone's style of play.  There are a couple of cheats that it does not even seem like cheats.  As long as it makes us happy to play how we play, then that is all that matters.

I have tried keeping some traits of sims I move in, can be interesting though. :D

I'm considering "marrying" a sim with Grumpy, Evil, and Neurotic traits. Does anyone have a clue what that might be like?

I can see a certain attraction [purely for interest] but I don't think I could live with that for long.
I have enough stress allowing Sims to have free will!  ;)

Evil is very manageable, Neurotic is actually a great trait. Easy wishes to fullfill, a positive moodlet for 'freak out'.

Grumpy tho, is painful to play.  Fun bar is down quick, mood is hard to keep up. Had one grumpy sim so far, soem time ago, never again.
