Passing on the Torch
« Reply #121 on: October 23, 2013, 07:48:21 PM »
It seems like my pregnancies are always a breeze! Maybe it's because I can spend every minute of every day with my family. Of course, I only see Bronson at night, very early in the morning when he gets back from work . . .

And there are my toddlers to occupy the rest of the time!

I go out more often, too--just the other day I ran into Elizabeth and Edward at the park! They're as in love as ever.

Lizzie's always so happy when I get pregnant: chances are she won't have any more kids, so it's up to me to continue the family line! We're hoping for another boy for exactly that reason.

I made a discreet exit when they started making out. One would think that being autonomous would mean fewer romantic interactions! Only Lizzie and Edward . . .

  Oh--more toddlers!

All right, that's enough for now! Anyway, I went into labor, blah blah, blah blah--this one was easier than the others and I barely even noticed when the baby came out! I guess twice-motherhood has its benefits.

A new son came into the world: Nate Vanderburg.

And Eric looks awfully cute when he's trying to use the potty!

We threw a little party for Angela's birthday, and my nephew, Garlan, came.

But it's really all about Angela: she aged up into a beautiful little girl. Her favorite color is white, but we're working on changing her mind!

Bronson started on tutoring right away. We're coming for you, honor roll! I suppose it's time for me to pass on the torch, so the next time you read it will be Angela writing. It's been a pleasure!

CUTENESS OVERLOAD. <3

I mean, really, sim-toddlers always look cute on the potty, but Eric absolutely beats all of them. Literally all of them. And his green eyes are just the icing on the cake.

I vote you accent the white with mint green and lavender, but that's just me.

Little Brothers
« Reply #127 on: October 25, 2013, 02:32:16 PM »
The first thing I did as the heir was command that a playground be built outside! It's so cool--there's a swing-set, slide, firewalking thing, see-saw, sand pit, soccer net, climb-thingy, and dragon riding!

I immediately went for the dragon and rode it for ages, pretending I was a princess riding my dragon to save the prince from the other princess who was also a dragon.

Mum tried out the firewalk, but I don't know why because she didn't seem to like it at all.

Then we played on the see-saw! Mum's the best: she only works once or twice a week, so the rest of the time she plays with me! I wish there was snow so I could have time off school, but there's no such thing as snow or rain in Lunar Lakes. Mum says it's because of the at-mos-pear.

Anyway, Nate aged up while Mum was at work and I was at school, so we came home to find another toddler in the nursery! It's cool to have toddler brothers 'cause they're cute and don't bother me, but they're also very loud!

The Cross boys come over nearly every day after school because I'm friends with all of them. There's Jacob, the oldest.

  Rick, the youngest.

  And Garlan, Rick's older twin.

Sometimes I go to their house, where Mum grew up. It's very different from mine, and more . . . I don't know . . . filled with memories.

Speaking of Mum, she and Daddy are very weird sometimes. At night when I have bad dreams I go to their room, but there are nights when the door is locked and I have to go back to my room.

She spends a lot of time with my little brothers while I'm at school, especially Nate, since he needs training. I think he's awfully cute.

Daddy has the coolest job ever! He's a ghost-hunter, and he tells me lots of stories about capturing spirits and haunted burial grounds and poltergeists!

Eric celebrated his birthday just a few days after Nate. Daddy sent him to Smugglesworth Prep School right away so he could get a decent education. I kinda wish I could go to boarding school, but at the same time I'm glad I don't have to leave home.

After all, at home I have loads of things to do! Like play pretend in the bathtub.

And help Mum teach Nate to walk.

  Play on the slide.

  Practice soccer with Mum.

But Mum and Daddy keep stealing the swings!

Sometimes I have tea parties with all of my stuffed bears, and I dress up in my fancy clothes and bring us juice boxes. It's loads of fun, but Nate always gives me the weirdest expression--like he's making fun of me but doesn't know the words to tell me yet. I don't know if I'll like having a little brother.

Oh! One time I snuck into Mum and Daddy's room to see what they talked about when we weren't listening, but they were just kissing the entire time! Eww!

The consistency of her princessiness (which is a real word, I'm sure) is fantastic!

Eric was a cute toddler and now is a cute child. Do you know his phone number? Can you give it to me? Oh...wait...he's still a child, can't ask for a date. I have to wait  ::) And while doing that, I can read your amazing dynasty again from the start.

True. It seems to be a trend in my families.

The consistency of her princessiness (which is a real word, I'm sure) is fantastic!

Thanks! It's kind of a struggle to keep in character like that, so I'm glad I pulled it off!

Awwww  ;D

It's a pretty good reason to make an account--and just wait until they get older!

. . . Birthdays.
« Reply #133 on: November 21, 2013, 09:55:48 PM »
Just a picture of how cute my little brother is! Squee!

Oh, you want to hear about my birthday? Well, Mum threw this big party with all the relatives! There's Aunt Lizzie, who's super pretty and cool.

Mum's always awfully happy to see Aunt Lizzie. I wonder if I'll be that happy to see Eric and Nate someday.

The Altos came, too--there's Eleanor Alto, who's Uncle Edward's ex-girlfriend which must be pretty awkward.

I spent a lot of the party hanging out with Karim, my . . . extended family member. He looks a lot like my uncle, but's younger--and a fairy! How cool is that?

Karim's younger sister, Sonya, is awfully pretty. That's Uncle Edward behind her--apparently he hasn't always been bald, which is weird to think about. He's still pretty hot, though--platonically, of course! (Ew!)

That's Jacob, Uncle and Auntie's son.

And Rick, his little brother. There's Garlan, too, but he has an awful hairstyle that covers his entire face.

Anyway, I celebrated my birthday at the end of the night, and here I am as a teenager! I'm not quite sure that I've found my "style niche" yet, but I'm still pretty freaking hot, huh?

Dad got straightaway to tutoring me the next day. It's boring, but I'm not really interested in anything yet, so I suppose there's nothing else to occupy my time!

Pretty much the only thing I do is cook. All I do is cook, cook, cook! It's weirdly addicting, but at the same time you don't want to know how many times I've fallen asleep over the stove!

Some nights I go fishing, too, but that's more for de-stressing than anything else. The water here is so cool at night: it's almost luminescent!

While I was slaving away in the kitchen, Aunt Lizzie graduated from University! She and Mum threw this party at Lizzie's house to celebrate.

(Note: Still can't get over how ABSOLUTELY FLIPPING GORGEOUS Elizabeth is!)

Dad celebrated his birthday, too, but he didn't get any prettier. Mum still thinks he's awfully handsome, which has to count for something.

My little brother, Nate, was next! Mum held him up to the cake on her way to work.

He's still a cute little kid, I think. But now he's annoying! Just annoying. Shut it already. Seriously! Grr, don't you know you were an accident?

My Cross cousins come over just about every night so we can work on homework together. They're all very smart, probably because Uncle Edward is a genius. Did I mention that his ex-girlfriend is his boss? Awkward . . .

Oh, and Mum had her birthday, too! She's still very pretty.

It's startling, realizing that she's so . . . old. I'm barely going to have any time with Mum at all! I guess I'll just have to make the most of it, right?

Cute update.  I enjoy how nicely your heirs make things about the rest of the family and simply downplay their own role ("all I do is cook cook cook").  The whole "Don't you know you were an accident?" line was great too.
