*whistles*  Dang!  He's a very hot sim! lol

It was an enormous surprise.

That's a big Yes

Good! I'll provide the link presently.

Edward is kind of ridiculously hot. And by that, I mean "he's hotter than Samhain Ironstar and Antone Dreamweaver and their powers combined UPLOAD HIM PLEASE. <3"

Happy birthday to the girls, too. I knew they'd look good, but that was an underestimation.

I should have listened when you told me he would be ridiculously hot! Wow, and that is very impressive--I've never been a huge fan of Antone, but Samhain is beautiful. I thought you might like/be slightly obsessed with him!

Lunar Lakes genes are epic, and that's all I have to say.

So, you offer the boy for upload, but hog keep the lovely girls for yourself then?  Good plan, actually  ;=)

Nope, I'm going to upload them all (whether you like it or not), but I wanted to see how many people would beg for Edward  ;) .

Great update. Happy birthday to Sofia and the twins. Edward looks hot and cool;). Looking forward for next update:).

He is very hot indeed.

Find Edward (cough), Elizabeth, and Katherine here. Scroll down to the heading of the Vanderburg DecaDynasty.

Due to Edward's insane amount of hotness, Elizabeth had an incredibly painful task, only made more difficult by his insane amount of hotness.

They both knew it was right for the dynasty: it was important to keep the original townie genes going, particularly townie genes of insane hotness. Even so, it was hard for the two lovebirds to separate after dating for the entirety of being teenagers.

They also knew that they only had so much time before Katherine moved out, leaving them to the mercy of Story Progression.

Reality hit the two young people in the face when Katherine proposed to Bronson, cementing the beginning of the move. Before, the entire dynasty had seemed like a faraway dream. Now, the clock was ticking.

The next morning was graduation for all three. Edward was voted Most Likely to Fulfill His Lifetime Wish, and, his lifetime wish being to become a World-Renowned Surgeon, he signed up at the hospital right away.

Elizabeth was, of course, Most Popular. She and Edward were encouraged to go up together, as Senior Prom King and Queen, which was awkward for them both.

Katherine was voted Most Likely to Take Over the World, which was . . . unsettling, to say the least. She and Bronson announced their engagement in front of the entire school, most of whom were Alexander's children, and received a standing ovation.

The three graduates went out for celebratory lunch at Armstrong's Diner with a strange sense that this was the end of a beautiful, careless era.

After lunch, Edward hit the town in search of a way to get over his heartbreak. He and Elizabeth had parted as the best friends they had always been, but that didn't stop the sadness. It just so happened that he met a lovely widow, Eleanor Alto.

At the same time, Elizabeth was busy calling NPC's. She met one man, Abram Bess. An introduction brought them all the way up to best friend, and she immediately popped a wish to kiss him. That's what I call love at first sight!

Edward rapidly achieved similar results with Eleanor. Coincidentally, she lives in a very nice house, and her children would live in that same very nice house.

An innocent flirtation soon grew into something much more, and by the end of the night Edward and Eleanor were in a steady, healthy relationship.

A relationship that would soon be cemented by a child. Side note: Has anyone seen Eleanor's sleepwear? Because it's kind of awesome.

He only headed home when it was time for Katherine's bachelorette party. Of course, he regretted this the moment he saw his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend slipping into the All-in-One Bathroom together.

Katherine was incredibly excited for her big party. Of course, it was Elizabeth's idea to treat her sister to one last night of freedom, but both girls were sure it would be a blast. And they were so right.

Elizabeth suited up in her own sister-of-the-bride outfit, which she looked so epic in that I took a million pictures.

Katherine spent most of the party with Bronson while her sister danced all over the room, much to her boyfriend's chagrin. Elizabeth assured him that she was just befriending NPC's, the fact that the majority of the NPC's were handsome males were not a factor.

Edward hung out with his girlfriend, Eleanor, who he introduced to the whole family.

Then the two worst party dancers ever showed up. Two muscular guys in speedos, one with a beekeeper's hat and the other with a witch's hat.

It was then that Sofia woke up from her nap. "Hello? Police?"

  "I think I've gone insane."

Elizabeth made sure to befriend both speedoed men ("It's just for the dynasty, love!") and did a lot of dancing.

But she made sure to drench her sister in nectar before the party was over.

Eleanor's sleepwear is, in fact, amazingly awesome.  Good call.
Edward and Elizabeth seem like they'll somehow manage to get by (with their attractive new partners).

Change of Style

Note: I've decided to start writing this in first person, because I just really love writing in first person more than third! I decided that I would really try to write this story in third person, but I feel that I would connect more with the characters with a different style, so bear with me while I try to figure out Katherine's personality!

Hi, I'm Katherine. Katherine Vanderburg, heir to the first generation of the Vanderburg DecaDynasty. You've watched me grow up into the young woman I am today. Instead of doing some kind of long introduction, I'm going to jump right into where I am now and go from there!

I'm moving very quickly in the Military career, and most days I spend working out with my mom. She's doing very well in Law Enforcement, and I hate to say that she's far more athletic than I am.

Unlike my sister, Elizabeth, I'm not big on drama. I still can't believe that she broke up with Edward, who is, without competition, easily the hottest man in Lunar Lakes. Of course I don't like him--he's practically my brother. However, I can recognize that he is a very good-looking specimen who can pull off a kilt quite nicely.

I wish that Elizabeth would go after him and they would get together again, but Edward complicated things by getting a heavily pregnant girlfriend, who also happens to belong to the richest family in Lunar Lakes.

To make matters worse, he and Eleanor are very much in love. And, the worst news of all, Eleanor is actually a kind, lovely woman, which means that Elizabeth can't vent about her to me.

I really am very sorry for dumping all of this on you, but my life is extremely boring at the moment so I pay more attention to my sister's. I only see Bronson every once in a while, and dates are always short.

Thankfully, his family moved from the tiny house Bronson grew up in to this place! Now this is something to look forward to! It's much nicer than my house, even.

I did spend the night once--trying to get to know the place, you know.

Believe it or not, a paparazzi walked in on us! There must be some holes in the walls of this house that I'll have to patch up once I move in. As it was, there were some very embarrassing pictures in the tabloids the next day. Oh, the price of fame . . .

I often go for jogs around town, mainly to show off my leg-warmers, which I'm trying to bring back into style. Besides, Lunar Lakes is beautiful--amazing, even. It's spectacular, like nothing else in the universe.

Most of the buildings are portals to larger, underground structures, but the science building (which is the largest, due to science being the center of the colony) is enormous and breathtaking, especially at night.

Eleanor went into labor at our house, much to Edward's chagrin. You'd think that a Trauma Surgeon would be used to blood and delivering babies, but we had to practically kick them out the door!

At the end of the night, Edward had a son: Karim Alto.

And, judging by the amount of lovey-doveyness, there will soon be another baby.

Edward really is a lovely father. He's over at the Alto mansion practically every day, and is always the first to pick Karim up when he's crying.

Oh! I remember what I wanted to show you! You see, both the hospital and City Hall issued new dress codes. I believe the hospital's was meant specifically for Edward, because . .  . well, just have a look.

As you may recall, Elizabeth's old outfit was absolutely terrifying. Since City Hall is too lazy to change the hair of their employees, they decided to just change the outfit to match the hair!

Sure enough, Edward soon discovered that he was about to become a father for the second time--if there's such a thing as becoming a father for the second time.

He and Eleanor celebrated this pregnancy in a myriad of ways.

Before long, she gave birth to a little girl, Sonya Alto.

Karim had already aged to an adorable fairy toddler.

If you're wondering where Lizzie (she hates it when I call her that) has been this entire time, she's quickly befriending NPC's, even if that means getting taken down to the station once or twice for false calls to the police.

As for me? I'm working. Still working.

I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

Karim looks just like his dad, which means that he absolutely must be marked as a future spouse at all costs. Just imagine, a future heir looking like Edward!

Gawd, he's stunning.

Although I often write in third-person, I like it when you do first-person perspectives. I like Katherine's voice, and it's a shame that she has the boring life of an heiress.

I think that once paparazzo reach a certain level of their careers, they gain the ability to teleport.  I had one come into the below deck area of Zheena's walled-in houseboat and then walk on water to follow her once she tried to flee (with her date, of course).
Anyway, I thoroughly respect your first person choice.  It's also my preferred voice, but I've been forcing all of my Sims stories either into third person of dialogue-driven to stretch myself as a writer, so it amused me that you were doing the same thing.  Great minds, right?

I think that first person works so well with the Sims in general because of the very nature of the game and therefore the stories that come out of it.  It helps connect us with the characters more.  Poor Katherine, the life of a Dynasty heir is never easy... and it's a darn good thing that they can't die of boredom XD

Karim is exceptionally good-looking, but Sonya is gorgeous, which is why I may be considering a more long-term plan.

The only story in which I have ever been able to pull off third-person is the Moonstone Legacy, and in all other cases I just prefer to write in first-person! It's far more fun to me.

I can't say anything right now!

After the move, I discovered that there are a million arches disguised as windows in the house! That's how paparazzi could always sneak in.

Great minds! I've decided to stop pushing for a different perspective on stories that just need first-person, and instead I'm just going to do whatever comes naturally for each type of story. It works!

" . . . and maybe you should just try talking to him? Hang out, go to dinner, see if there's still a spark, or if you can just be friends."

"Thanks, Kathy. Your advice stinks, but thanks anyway. Don't quit your day job."

And yet, that evening, my sister and her ex-boyfriend found themselves sitting together and talking out on the deck. I could see them from the study, where I was (guess what?) working from home. Oh, wait, I forgot, you don't care about my misery! Right, back to the Victorian novel.

They gradually began to lean closer together, conversation comfortably trailing off, then Elizabeth placed her hand on Edward's. He felt the touch and looked at Elizabeth, to see her looking back at him with a soft, knowing smile.

Rosy light flooded the sky as the sun set, illuminating the two lovers in a pink, romantic glow. They leaned back with their arms around each other, taking turns pointing out their favorite stars. "That's the one I discovered when I was nine, my first star." Edward pointed it out.

"What's it named?" Elizabeth asked, raising her hand to pinpoint the star.

  "Elizabeth."

Simultaneously, without speaking, Edward and Elizabeth sent break-up texts to Eleanor and Abram.

Now unattached, they stood gazing at each other, as Elizabeth's sister (that's me--trying to be Victorian!) escaped to the safe confines of the study. There was an unseen, unspoken, and very powerful tension between them. A barrier that had to be broken but was impossible to touch.

  And the barrier shattered.

They said no more and parted ways, with little smiles on their faces and a certain spring in their step. (Aaaand . . . back to the real world.) Elizabeth kept calling up and befriending NPC's, and she still flirted a little with them, but she did so while practically glowing.

Edward cheerfully vaccinated elderly women in his kilt.

A few notables: Alejandro Grace and Arron Landgraab. Clearly all the good genes came from Patricia.

Even though Edward and Eleanor broke up via text, they're still best friends, and Edward certainly hasn't abandoned his kids. In fact, he takes care of them much of the time, since Eleanor is too busy running the hospital to be a mother.

Karim and Sonya truly are adorable children--I do babysit every once in a blue moon.

Sonya especially is a little cutie who can fall asleep at the drop of a hat! I just know she's going to grow up beautiful.

I wonder how strange it must be for Eleanor, to have her ex-boyfriend playing with the kids like nothing happened. It's almost annoying, how decent a person Edward is. It's too difficult to find any fault with him!

He's the only person who comes close to being deserving of my little sister. The day after they kissed, the reunited lovers went on one date to the diner. Only one date.

After they paid the check, Edward and Elizabeth left the restaurant. Their date had been wonderful, but still nothing had been said of the future--or the present, even. Were they going to date, or just have a casual relationship, or have no relationship at all?

"Elizabeth Vanderburg, love of my life, will you marry me?"

"Oh my--yes!" Elizabeth gasped, bringing her hands to her face in shock. "Yes, yes, yes!"

It slid perfectly onto her finger.

The day Elizabeth agreed to go to Prom with him, Edward got a job at the bookstore. He never spent any of the money he made, instead hiding it in his nightstand for years--and, being Edward, he made an enormous amount of money from discovering stars and submitting scientific papers.

On the night before his young adult birthday, fourteen hours before Elizabeth broke up with him, he bought the ring he had been saving up for and hid it in the nightstand, where it would sit, unused, for one year. Every once in a while, he would take it out and hold it up to the light, wondering if he could give it to Eleanor, but Edward knew that it was only meant for one person.

Of course, I received all of this secondhand, through excited squeals in the middle of the night, when I was dragged out of my bed into the bathroom--oops. Am I ruining the moment? So sorry.

They kissed for a long time in the moonlight, not noticing or caring when hail came pouring down on them, conscious only of each other and not the constant cracking of hailstones against the pavement.

To celebrate the engagement, they got tattoos together. Edward had a heart, wrapped in a ribbon--blue, for Elizabeth, because it belonged to her.

Lizzie got a tattoo of a flower. Because she likes flowers.

I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa
