Since Amira Grace is now too old to reproduce, Alexander dumped her via text and has entered an entirely inappropriate relationship with newly legal Christa Landgraab, who could pass as his granddaughter.
But hey--at least they're happy.
"Ewww!" Katherine squealed. "Do you see that?"
"Oh, you mean the entirely inappropriate relationship my father has entered with the newly legal Christa Landgraab, who could pass as his granddaughter? Uh-huh. What did you get for Number 3?"
Edward wasn't particularly excited or angry when he learned that he would soon have a little brother (that is, besides the little brother that he already has, Alejandro Grace). He's a passive child.
Every night Katherine plays with her family, but she takes a special interest in the Blocks table that the other children shun. She loves to build strange and fantastic shapes, balancing rectangles on the edge of triangles and quickly repositioning shapes when the tower seems about to topple.
Her parents are less intellectual when it comes to their evening pursuits.
As a special treat (Katherine walked in on her parents and experienced permanent emotional scarring), the girls got to throw a slumber party! They were allowed to invite over all of their friends, the majority of whom turned out to be NPC's, and order pizza.
Bronson came, of course. He and Katherine are best friends.
By morning, autumn had officially come and the temperature was cold enough that Alexander got up every morning to transform into a human popsicle. Winter and snow were immediately disabled, but apparently autumn is cold enough all by itself.
Or perhaps it's just that Christa was seen flirting with a Christopher Steel look-a-like. Baaaaad Christa.
The family took an outing to the Fall Festival in celebration of the new season. Lars, Elizabeth, Edward, and
First Name Mosqueda competed in the Pie-Eating Contest.
Katherine spent the day playing tag with Potential Spouse #2, Carlos Mosqueda. We're going for Bronson, but it's nice to have a backup.
He's certainly nice-looking, but somehow reminds me of snakes . . . and monkeys . . .
While Lars and Elizabeth cleaned up, the other three sunbathed down at the Oasis Shoreline.
The family came home after a long and exciting day, prepared for relaxation and perhaps a board game, to find Christa going into labor. Alexander was dragged out of bed, given a coat, and thrown into his car to drive his girlfriend to the hospital.
Welcome to the world, Lawrence Landgraab! It's obvious that he won't be the last Landgraab baby, since the house is absolutely gorgeous and I want every chance I can get at it.
That may be enough for Alexander, but it certainly doesn't meet the needs of the Vanderburg DecaDynasty. He ended up meeting his best friend, Gretel Sekemoto, at the park.
Roderick Sekemoto, a vampire, was born roughly three days later.
He had to hurry home for the twins' midnight birthday party.
At this point, it became obvious that Katherine would grow up to be a clone of Sofia. All the same, she is quite a lovely young lady.
I had no end of lack of inspiration for her teenage wardrobe, which ended up being some sort of boring, sensible jacket-skirt getup with that cute ponytail from Generations.
Elizabeth, on the other hand--ooh, Elizabeth. She is similar enough to Katherine that they're obviously sisters, but at the same time she is just so unique! I half-wish that she had been born heir, but at the same time she wouldn't be nearly as epic without the personality that comes from being friend-making spare.
Her wardrobe had no end of inspiration. It took less than three minutes to throw everything together and deem it perfect for her.
She immediately began her own blog,
Heir or Spare, so she could master the Social Networking skill. I judge that to be the absolute most useful skill for every dynasty except for Life States, since it makes best friends instantly.
