Yep! After I play with a household for a good amount of time, I eventually become attached to them, especially if they have some life-changing event (aging up, moving elsewhere, getting married, you get it). I think part of why is that most of my sims are based on me and my life or people in my life. I tend to use Sims to live out certain fantasies in my head.

I'm especially attached to my legacy households. I love the heir as soon as it's born.
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

My Sim is the rep of me in game play.  I did try to be 'out of the box' and had my Sim have a couple of romances going. Then I had her makeout with one of her boyfriends in front of his live-in girlfriend. Oh boy, did I get a rep so never did it again. I had to buy the start over opp. I figure I don't do that in real life so why have my Sim live out my fantasy.  And like in real life it hit the fan.

So now she has a steady boyfriend and is now a single mom. She now has the Eternally Faithful moodlet so I ensure she doesn't date anyone else. I play the Sims 3 when it first came out and now couple of years later I bought it again with the Late Nite upgrade and boy is the game play different.

This website has been a great resource as the instructions with the Sims just sucks. What I learned about game play, this site has taught me.

I've been playing regularly and daily, and with $2M in Simoleons I have pretty much everything I need. I did use cheats so she didn't have to work so I could get all her Skills up which they are all now maxed out at 10.  Now I get the same challenges:  Eat at Steve's and tell 3 Sims and Dance or Drink at a club over and over.

I got the kid because I was getting bored, and since the baby not turning into a toddler I'm getting bored with the baby too. (I posted a question on this today in another section) No interaction with her baby much except it keeps her social up rather than having to go to town.  She's been a baby for over 3 weeks now and it's seriously cramping my Sim's night life and relationships.

I dislike the 'change diaper' since unless it goes into yellow then impacts hygeine it does nothing.

Have you tried resetting your sim? If the baby isn't turning, then there is a glitch.

Control + Shift + C press all three at the same time.  At top (in blue area) type in  testingcheatsenabled(space) true   hit enter.
Do the control step again and type in restsim and the sims name; resetsim(space)Jane(space)Doe enter.  That may help.  It is great when a sim is struck and can be used for any sim not just yours.

You can ask in Misc. Help to get some input on it, or just delete the game, go to an earlier save before the baby was born and they try for a baby if you want one.

Games sometimes get glitches were sometimes you just have to throw in the towel and start over again.  Usually there is a way around it, but sometimes not.
