You mean the new skills, like Sculpting and Inventing.  Careers don't count toward the Jack of All Trades LTW.  I don't know for sure, but I think the new skills will count toward that LTW.

You're thinking Renaissance Sim, Pam.   Jack of all Trades is four careers to level five.

As for whether professions count in towards the LTW, well, I don't know, but I might give it a test sometime soon.

Oh, sweet irony, deliver me from coincidence.

Well as long as there is a level 5 then I assume so unless there is a difference between career and profession.

That's probably the key element.  Will professions count?  I rather think they would, but it would be something good to test so we know for sure.

Well I can let you know soon I have a Jack of All Trades in my Wishmaster Challenge and the first job he picked was Ghoster Hunter (or whatever it is called) so that was the first one and when he got to level 5 he got the wish to change jobs so I assume it counted but I don't know I never really thought about it. I don't know if he is on the last career or not but if not I will try one of the self employment jobs as well. Provided that no one else has this tested by the time I finish.

I am playing a sim doing this life time wish right now and wouldn't mind him being a firefighter so I'll try it out but it will be awhile before I find out because I only get to play during nap times and my little one is not a good napper  :o Here's hoping my Jack doesn't need to do five careers.

I've been wondering about that for a while and I've been meaning to ask about it. I currently have a Jack of All Trades in one of my challenges. She just started her second career and I'm already preparing for her third. After that I'm probably going to try one of the self-employment professions to see if it counts toward her LTW.

Thanks all for the input :)
I have this LTW for one of my wishmasters too, I would try it but I'm kinda behind and I don't want to mess it up hehe.
I would think it would work though, since there are still levels in the self-employed careers.

Well my guy with this Wish was a ghost hunter first then he was in education then he went to medical and last to law and it counted the ghost hunter as one so I would say yes for the profession but I don't know for the self employment. He was on his last career so I didn't get to try that one hopefully someone else will get the chance to try that one out.

Like they said previously, as long as there are levels that are counted, then those should work.

Yes, the self-employed professions do count towards the Jack of all Trades LTW.  I had one for my Wishmaster's and I know that she was a self-employed painter at one point and that counted towards her LTW.
