Sorority house front door bugged?

I have been reading these forums for lots of tips and advice and found it great.
But I have come across something I cant seem to find a solution for.
I am living in the university sorority house and recently my sim and housemates have stopped pathing through the front door. I can walk my sim up to the door and tell my sim to move to the square on the opposite side and they will go all the way around the building and enter/exit via the back door. I have tried various fixes to no avail.
1) Front door is set to "front door".
2) Locked and unlocked it several times with no results.
3) Sold and replaced door with other varieties, still no change.
4) I figured their might be some invisible object blocking
Any ideas for a solution or what could be causing the problem?

You might want to delete the whole front porch with door and rebuild.  It sounds like there's something there blocking that you can't see.

You could try a total town reset with Nraas MasterController. (it resets all)

Found the culprit.

Found one of these on my doorstep (silvery oval shape on the ground) that said object in use whenever I tried to click on it. used the moveObject cheat to delete it and my sim went straight through the front door.

Glad you solved out.  I totally forgot about the invisible objects that can appear on Univ town lots. Happened to me on my home rented lot.

I think that issue first popped up with Seasons, or at least I don't remember it before. It was said to be related to the game trying and failing to properly position ("social jig") two Sims for an interaction.  Definitely something to keep an eye on if you can't build/place something or your Sims can't seem to go somewhere.
