I forgot about 'Lawd Gyyde' from Twinbrooks. His name is a play on the word 'languid', according to the wiki. I thought Lawd may be because it's a internet term in some places.

That's weird! I don't understand at all how that could be. How you get 'Lawd Gyyde' from a word pronounced lan (rhymes with bang) gwid (rhymes with squid) is beyond me. Lots of things are beyond my understanding, of course,  ;D but I'm seriously doubtful about this.  ???

Edit: Sorry for the weird formatting. I can't seem to fix it.

I know. I think they're trying a smidge too hard, but it does make sence in both ways. He is a gamer, and he is also a couch potato. Didn't the Broke family have a lot of those sorts of names? I can't check myself.

I recall the names Flat Broke, Buck Broke, and Ruby Broke.  Also, I saw the name of a Sunset Valley maid in the Twinbrook Cemetary.  I can't think it his name at the moment, but it will come to me.

I made a "self-Sim" once "Happy Time," and I recall how much I snickered at naming one of his children "Justin" once.

I'll have to keep one eye open for these pun names!

I think some of the Racketts have punny names, though the only one I remember is Dennis Rackett. Again, that's a Twinbrook family. The only other Rackett family member name I can remember is Silver Rackett, but if that's a pun, I don't get it.

Well, in my game, one of the dead Racketts in the graveyard are named "S. Vindel Racket" (the Rackett family are spelled with 1 "t" here). "Svindel" in Swedish means kinda a scam or a fraud, so there's a pun right there. :)

I'll make no guarantee that I spelled their last name the way it is in the game. Mind like a sieve. :D

There's a Sim in Twinbrook named Penny Pincher.  And Mary Baker is the town chef.

I did a search and cannot find this. I don't think it's a big enough deal to deserve a thread so I'm going to try to sneak this in here because it's name related.  Can you still change names at city hall?  My Sim married a townie and I wanted to change his name because I don't like it. That option is no longer available in my game.

Make sure you're trying during regular business hours.  You can't do it at night.

Well there you go. Thanks pam. I have a couple of nocturnal Sims so I didn't think about that.
