Sorry @MuntyJay , but I don't get the connection.  I've read all the Harry Potter books but I haven't seen the last two movies.  Was MuntyJay a character or is that a euphemism?

My nieces have called me Marshmallow for years because they love just as much as a marshmallow! It's a family nickname for me now.  :) they play Sims as well so it made sense.

Well, mine actually comes from a poem I wrote in high school. A "heart poetic" was just my literary term for creative people, including myself.

Mine is a very simple and I guess romance story because for 20yrs now I am still using the name everywhere I go. When I first met my husband he asked my name in which I told him, Jenni.  Afterwards he told his best friends, he had met his goddess and was going to marry me after only meeting me once. So from then on he called me jennidagoddess every chance he got no matter how much it he knew it embarrassed me!

Actually to be perfectly boring, I had come up with Verdi on the spot and upon applying to a past forum discovered the name was taken, heheehee.

However I do have a lot of other handles, each one for different areas of interest. For example, the name I use for Minecraft related areas is RamblingFox. Rambling, because I tend to ramble and write run-on sentences, and Fox, because honestly, who doesn't like foxes?

In my case, it's not too imaginative or original. The first half is taken from my real name. The second half, well...
I consider bear my spirit animal, because I am sometimes like one - mostly because I find joy in walking alone through the hills. Or my dense brown hair. Or my 'singing skills'. So, I adopted that as my internet pseudonym.
