My profile name came from a stuffed toy gargoyle that I recently knitted from a pattern (I did not come up with the gargoyle's name - it was there in the pattern).

I'm raerei because it combines two spelling of my nickname; short for Rachel.
Rae is how I normally spell it and then Rei to commemorate the 3 years I spent in Japan where my official "legal" name stamp read Rei. So the pronunciation is "ray-ray."

My name is a portmanteau on the words Random and Paradox, because why not. It's also the name of a British company which manufactures chemicals and equipment for use in the medical diagnostic field, which I found out the first time I bothered to google it. I've also use a different arrangement, parandox (parandox), as the name of the penguin monster I use as an avatar (as in, I'm Randox, and that's a Parandox). It seemed appropriate for a half penguin, half...bat? Cat?

M is one of my favorite films (the German version, not the remake). It's a film about a serial killer, with the police and the criminal underworld trying to catch him. It's also my first initial (Matt).

A few years back I wrote a story and the main character's name was Danielle. I wrote another story and one the characters was named Lucian Haydis. When I first started playing Sims 3, I named my first sim Danielle Haydis as a tribute to my previous characters. When I joined the forum I just used her name.
