How do you fight a shark?

I'm doing the challenge & at final stage to fight a shark. I've got the scuba diving skill at basic level (I think) so how do I start & win a fight with a shark?

Having lots of fish and raw foods in your inventory while you watch him is a good way, but if you want to win- the Brave trait- I've got 14 shark's teeth,  have never lost a fight with that sim

I'm trying to complete the challenge with a mermaid and although many sharks have crossed the fish-sim's path, none has attack it. Does being a mermaid and/or having scuba dive mastered prevents shark attacks?

Note: There are tons of fish in the sim's inventory and it has been watching sharks over and over.

I had fish & some raw meat in my inventory when I was scuba diving and it worked for me. Shark attacked & I won. Tip though save first in case you don't win the fight. Good luck

Sharks won't attack/fight mermaids.
