How to grow plant in Autumn and Winter
« on: July 24, 2013, 07:41:22 AM »
Hello everyone, i'm playing the sims 3 with my last update is University expansion. My sims' career is a gardener. Yet in autumn and winter all my plants are dormant or dead.
Is there any solution so that i could grow my plants even in winter?

Welcome to our Forum.

To plant in the off-season, you need the greenhouse from the Store.  There's a thread about it here.

There's also the indoor planters or building a room around the garden or using moveobjects to place the plants inside.  This thread discusses some ways to garden year round.

I have a question. I had an indoor garden (in planters). It worked just fine all winter until one day, when my Sim replanted, everything was suddenly dormant. Is that default when you plan in winter, or was it a glitch?

That's default I believe when planting when it's cold, give it a day and the plants should warm up and start growing.
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.
