I have a question, I'm playing a Twinbrook legacy (I've converted the high fishing community lot, above the rich area into my legacy base) I have various willows planted and I'd like to put down some grass, instead of the default stuff. Which grass paint/s could you recommend?

I always say use a terrain paint that will blend, nothing that sticks out to much but just a subtle touch.

Well I often use the grass terrains in the First and Second row, I mostly use the Autumn grass I think it is called. I am not that good with the other names though.

Thanks, would you recomend some dark grass as well (Such as Nile Grass?)

Nile grass is really quite dark and to my opinion looks best in a more forested area or a very large, formal house.  Mansion type, like a big Victorian.  Just me though.  I like blue grass and mowed lawn.  Mowed lawn is pretty repetitive but it DOES look like a mowed lawn with shadows where the mower makes a pattern as you go from one direction to another.  It can hide a multitude of ills. lol

Samoht likes to use different grasses when he landscapes and it always looks good when he does it.  When I do it, it looks dreadful so I'm going to have to ask him HOW he does it.  Using the different shades does make a difference but I sure don't have the technique.

I have started building a community garden.  Please take a look and tell me yea or nay on the landscaping so far please.  I think I have learned so much from everyone here and would love your opinions.    Thanks!

What a happy place to be!

I finished my garden!  Yea!  I did put it on the exchange, if anyone is interested.  About half the plants there are only one each, some 2, life has 3 plants and there are four watermelons.  I also have a money tree seed and 2 omni plant seeds on the lot.  I used a new cheat to decorate around the water pump.  It did not help drastically, but it helped me place the flowers so they weren't halfway sticking out of the fence, for the most part. I was excited, lol.  Here are a few more pictures. 

Really can't tell anything from this pic except the basic layout. 


My first visitor was a magician!  I have never seen one in game before.  It was cool.


No more mailbox or trash can.  Officially open to the public.


I also used buydebug and discovered I have to wait at least one Sim week for butterflies to show up.  I put a few more down and then all of a sudden I have a ton of butterflies.  I then discovered that you cannot delete spawners.  So my garden is littered with butterflies. 

I posted a new topic asking about it, but i used disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt [on|off].  I used it for literally the last part of my landscaping.  But that cheat is amazing!  I have never heard about anyone using it so I thought I would mention it.  I highly recommend it for use while taking care of a yard.  Not sure how it works inside the house but outside, no complaints on the outside!
