Lately I've been experimenting with incorporating spawners into my landscaping specifically for visual effect.

and I gotta say its tricky business!  I wanted to spawn glowy butterflies for the pink garden and it was just not working, lol.  I'm sure glowy's aren't that rare a spawn...  It'd be nice knowing which critters specifically spawn from a "high 1" or an "epic" spawner and the spawn probabilities.  Do we have any guides like that?

I expect that you've already spotted this - Naga has provided a guide to the spawners:  http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php?topic=3357.0

Thanks samoht!
 :)

No problem, they were all in one spot on my Photobucket account anyway.  :)

I'm going to try harder to get this thread going again, I'll start by sharing my recent gardens and outdoor spaces. Probably my Dynasty because that is using a little bit of everything.

I never knew this thread existed. Thank you so much, Samoht! This will surely help me in the remodel of my legacy house, which really lacks landscaping. :)

Do you want the Glowy butterfly from France? It's in WA spawners... but no need to hurry, those don't work properly in home worlds (*). I don't know if something has been changed to them in one of the recent patches. All I can say is that last year, they would spawn once and then go dormant forever.

(*) But WA fish spawners do work properly.

Wow!  :o  I have seen a lot of great gardens here! I plan on making my own gardens in due time...

Also, feel free to request a home by PMing me! Always happy to help.

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Samoht, this thread has been very helpful and your tutorials are great. I love seeing how everyone else has landscaped their lots as it has given me many ideas and helped me improve my own landscaping.  ;D  If you are taking requests, could you possibly do one on ponds?  Particularly large ponds?  I am fine with smaller koi sized ponds, but I have a hard time landscaping ponds that are bigger than five squares or so (if that makes sense).

Anyway, I am looking forward to your new series of tutorials.

I'll do ponds first since it is the only request so far!  :)

adding to the thread :)

A little garden for front of the beach house, using the rocks from world advanture and fountain tool you can simulate a natural fountain, works great on ponds as well, even with pools if handled correctly
