Complete your set discount

If you go to the EA store you can now complete sets you have a few or most pieces of for less simpoints than before. In some cases you might even get the set for free, if you have a big enough percentage of the content. Go check out the compilations and big sets first to see if you can get any free content.

What is the Complete Your Set Discount?
If you own one or more items from a set, the Complete Your Set Discount gives you the opportunity to purchase the rest of the set at a great discount. Please note that some sets do not qualify for the Complete Your Set Discount. Our newest sets as well as some special sets are excluded from the feature.


How do I become eligible for the Complete Your Set Discount?
You must own at least one item from the set and be logged into your account.


How is Your Price calculated?
Your Price is based on the items you already own from the set. As you own more, a bigger discount is applied.


What does it mean if I see a green download button on a set where I am eligible for the Complete Your Set Discount?
Congratulations! Because you already own most of the set, your discount makes you eligible to receive the set with no cost.


Why do some sets not offer the Complete Your Set Discount?
Our newest sets as well as some special sets are excluded from the feature.

What if the set I want to purchase qualifies for the Complete Your Set Discount but is also on sale? Which price am I charged?
You are always offered the lowest possible price.

Wow this is great, I don't own vast amounts of store stuff but I recently got the Romanza Ceremony & Attire in the daily deal and I can now complete it with the reception set for free, will have to check all the rest to see what else I can get, thanks for posting this

Is this a permanent thing? Because I think it's a great idea: I finally don't have to feel guilty about purchasing a set when I already own some items from it!

Be nice if it was permanent but I imagine it isn't.

I feel like it's my birthday  make sure you check out the compilations as well, because I bought the greenhouse the best of 2012 one is just 155 simpoints instead of 5,400 in the sale.

Same with the January one, that's just 200 as I bought the lullaby set, and I have just enough simpoints left for those two.

Oh, this is awesome! I think the threshold for "free" is somewhere around 60% of set owned. I just got the Indian furniture sets for free because I owned all the clothing they were compiled with.

The 2012 compilation had the More Magic set in but it lacked the book of spells, so I looked at the Enchanted Bundle of Dark Dealings and as I now have 80% of it I can get it for 15 points, seems once you get one cheap set you can find even more, shame my points are fast running out.

Not sure about the free threshold, maybe it depends on individual item prices, as I said above I had 80% of that set and it isn't free yet I had 70% of the wedding set and that was, or maybe it's because the book of spells is premium content.

Oh and Ausette the India Inspirations was in that 2012 set you might want to look at that now as you have most of it.

Edit:  This is SO amazing!  I  just completed two compilation sets for FREE.  I've been saving and waiting for these items.

I would suggest making multiple passes through the listing, as it is possible to have one set where it is currently free for you be a part of a larger set that isn't and 'buying' the smaller set can make the larger set also be free - I just did that with the Ultra Lounge 2010 and Best of 2010 sets. Best of was about 1800 points (out of 6000) until I grabbed my free Ultra Lounge, then it became free as well.

WOW! I just completed a couple compilations for free. I literally went through every set to see the new prices, and I got some great bargains. Yay!
