Half My Town Is Invisible!

So I'm pretty sure it has something to do with a patch. It said update now and I put no (I had no idea what a patch was) but I looked it up and it says my game is updated, I am on version 1.55.4.022001. But ever since I clicked no to the upgrade half of my town is invisible, Like all of my roomates in my dorm and my crush like everyone. All I see is floating objects yet I can't interact with them at all, it's like they aren't there at all. I tried resetSim * but that didnt do anything even tried: ResetSim *, resetsim *, resetsim* and even resetSim Firstname Lastname. Please help meeee!

I've had a problem like this, the only way I found that worked was to move all of the invisible sims out of their houses and then put them back in again.

No, I'm not very tech savvy about all these mods and that kind of stuff everyone keeps talking about. Just have the game and thats all nothing special

It could be that when you patched, it only did half a job.  I'd try to repatch using the super patch.  I believe there's a link to that on the boards here.  Then clear your caches.  THEN start the game and see if it's fixed.

Ok, yeah when I switched back to home from university a lot more were visible, I moved some people around and now I haven't noticed too many so maybe it will just keep getting better!
