Of course, I do kid around a lot, but I wouldn't do that if I didn't feel comfortable myself with everyone here.  ;)

Yes, that is a good thing here that seperates this forum from other ones; you can be yourself here, in words than.

@ Pielord: I have to say it, you have a good eye for finding corrections Pielord! :O

Um thanks Lol, just sorta read the guide WAY too much -so I tend to notice these things.  :)

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/worldadventures/france/
Second paragraph from the bottom, 3rd line from the bottom:
It says "and your odds of flying a glowy fly", is that supposed to be your odds of 'capturing' a glowy fly?

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/careers/medical-career-track.php
Paragraph after lifetime wish choices, first line. You wrote "Sims that reach the world reknowned surgeon...", guessing its 'renowned'.

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/how-traits-and-wishes-work.php
Fourth paragraph, first line. It says "...lifetime wishes to a list of possiblities.", meant to be 'possibilities'.

Sorry for being a pest! Some things just get to me...

Yeah, what do you think? Carl is over checking this topic twice a minute probably. He perhaps has now a shortlink in his favorite list to it to. ;)

Haha!
I'm pretty certain my little corrections aren't that big-a-deal Lol. Just a bit of an English addict sometimes.  :)

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/ambitions/worldrenownedsurgeon.php
Second paragraph after first picture, last line. Says "However, en route to the hospital to join the career Bumble must have short-circuited...", meant to be 'on' route to the hospital.

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/ambitions/worldrenownedsurgeon.php
Second paragraph after Week 2 heading, sixth line from the top. Um, the guide says "You actually have to cancel your “At Work” cur and then...", I think that's meant to be 'cue' after reading what's written in context.

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/ambitions/fashionphenomenon.php
First line under the picture of Debbie on her Beast. Says "...Lifetime Happiness Reward was Professional Simolean Booster", I think it's spelt 'Simoleon'.

At http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/ambitions/fashionphenomenon.php (first line after picture of rock star guy) Pam mentions that the weekly stipend for a Haute Hot Shot is $1,180, but in the guide at http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/careers/ambitions/stylist.php (in the table) it says that the stipend is $984 per week. I'm not sure if these amounts can vary but it sounds like a contradiction--suggesting one is incorrect or hasn't been updated. This also applies to the promotions thereafter mentioned. I think I may have overlooked something which would explain this, sort of like you can get raises in jobs, however to my mind the weekly stipends are always the same until after the last promotion.

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/careers/ambitions/stylist.php
The heading "The Importance of Socializing to Success in Fashion", after Freestyle Styling. I think that the word success is in the incorrect form. Isn't it The Importance of Socializing to 'Succeed' in Fashion. Although I could be mistaken in terms of your intended meaning.

The phrase "en route" is correct.  Some phrases from other languages, like French, show up in English minus only diacritical marks.

Are you sure it was intended? I'm mainly basing my corrections on whats written in context and I don't exactly get the 'French' vibe from the piece. I only really notice spelling mistakes and do not bother posting other types of errors too often as I am only 16 and lack alot of knowledge in most areas of the language, so when I do post something I'm pretty sure it looks really messed up to the reader. However, if Carl can verify what you've mentioned, I'd gladly apologize for not understanding the term.

En route is a French phrase which means "on the way" or "along the way". It may refer to: • En route (novel), an 1895 novel by Joris-Karl Huysmans

(Found in Wikipedia)

Does that answer your question? :)

You might want to look up the word "spelt", there is no such word, the correct pronunciation is "spelled".  Just thought I would throw that in there, since you have been making corrections. ;D

From Webster's dictionary:  Spelt - past of Spell.  As recommended, you might want to look it up.

I concur.  'Spelt' is the more common spelling in the UK.  Considering we all speak the same language, there certainly are a lot of differences.  I'm from the UK but lived in California for a time, and at school I was once graded down for writing the word 'whilst'.

I stand corrected, but it is not a frequently used word.  I used that word in school and thought my teacher was going to have a fit when I said it.  It does not even sound correct. ;D   So we move on.

The difference between British, Canadian, 'American', Australian or any other variant is absolutely nothing compared to how far you can push mutual intelligibility. The Scandinavian languages are far enough away from eachother that most words are either spelled "wrongly" or used completely incorrectly altogether, but still we have the ability to push some sort of understanding between us with relative ease for being different languages. I think that just one word here and there are overestimated differences which shouldn't be counted as wrong by anyone speaking English.

That being said, this has little to do with the guide as Salty said. Please get back on track. :)
