Elderly Sims

Has anyone's elderly sims wished for something that has already happened?

In my legends family the first sims wished to see there daughter get married, but she already was then when she grew old her and her husbands wished to see their son married, but he already was.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes.  That's a bug that needs to be addressed by EA.

Hi Evie, yup, I call them senior moments. :D  I usually just delete them.  There are several of those annoying wishes that pop up...especially after they have cooked a meal, they want to cook that meal. :P  That one's been around for awhile.

"Honey, when are you going to get married...?"
"Mom, I've been married to Jason for 4 years now."
"But the gnomes said you broke up..."
"...Right. I'm going to go call some people."

I don't really think the cooking one is a bug.  I get the feeling that they enjoyed the meal so much that they want to make it again.  They also get the wish to make a recipe after eating it made by another Sim.  And it's not limited to elderly Sims.  :)

I get that all the time when I'm marrying people! I'm like "Um you're already living with them why would you wish for that?" It's not just elderly sims that get crazy wishes!

They (sims) probably have tasted one meal (like in bshag's example) and where than thinking: 'That tasted like more! I want to make this dish again!' And the same thing happens than with an already married couple. It's just me guessing. It could be a bug though, like others are already saying.

I had a sad one yesterday. While my elder sim was in space, her daughter fell in love, married, and got pregnant. While in space the elder wished for a grandchild. I was excited that she would welcome the good news when she came home from her flight, but she died up there and will never see that grandchild.

I assume in space, because her shift wasn't over yet. It's a long shift, something like 20 hours, and I'm surprised she couldn't eat or sleep. I kept watching her mood going deep into yellow territory. Her ghost appeared at the entrance to the military facility.

What a sad story. I didn't know this was possible. My sims only died during their work hours when I play the game at my mobile phone.

Edit: what colour did her ghost has?

So sorry for your loss LlamaMama.  It is always so sad to lose a Sim - like losing a member of your own family  :'(

Well, I saw LlamaMama saying it in more detail in another post to, so it could be still she.
