While living at the dorms would have given Zheena lots of live-in fellows from which to choose, she and Abbica rented a house instead. This would give her more privacy when gentlemen callers came over."Well, I'm going to go adjust my wardrobe now,"
Abbica told her mother."Okay,"
Zheena replied. "You did remember to invite your professor over, right?"
"Yes, mom,"
she replied, "but I still don't know why that was so important to you."
"I want to meet this fellow who will be teaching my little girl,"
asserted Zheena."Okay, mom,"
Abbica responded. "I'm going to run by the library after I change."
So, Abbica was on her way to the library when the professor arrived to meet Zheena."Good day, professor,"
Zheena began, "I'm sorry, but my daughter failed to inform me that you'd be so handsome."
"Well, you flatter me ma'am,"
he replied, "but I must say, you don't look old enough to have a University-age daughter."
And Zheena just smiled and thanked him as she thought to herself, "Tatoos and age freeze potion will do that for you."
The mermaid girl, with a sensible light shirt over her swimwear, made her way to the library. It's possible she suspected what her mother was up to and was just politely getting out of the way, though it may have been just a chance to go stretch her muscles."It's no wonder you teach phys ed,"
said Zheena, "you're so muscular and just built like a tank."
"And you, dear lady,"
replied the professor, "have all the beauty of a goddess."
"But where are my manners,"
Zheena said, "I haven't even invited you in. Perhaps we could sit together on the sofa and...chat?"
"Sofas are good for reading,"
thought Abbica, as she thumbed through a text about the application of statistics in getting to know athletes better."Isn't this just lovely sitting together and getting to know each other better?"
asked Zheena."Oh, it's just wonderful,"
he replied, enjoying their nearness. The young man appreciated the sight of the lovely new girl as she walked near him to put her book away. But when she returned to her seat, another fellow caught her eye."Wait,"
said the excited, yet concerned professor, "isn't there a Mr. Ghast?"
"Let's just say someone else has caught my eye,"
she said, smiling."Works for me,"
he responded. And they snuggled for a few brief moments on the couch. And they made out.
