Ghastly Hallows--Chapter 18: Age Issues
« Reply #136 on: September 01, 2013, 04:06:15 PM »

Hildy made a quick run to the grocery to do a report for school.

It happened to be on her birthday.

"Seriously?" asked the incredulous youngster.  "I get to age up with no family around?"
"Mention to your parents that I celebrated with you, okay?" begged the minimum wage employee in hopes of a raise.

The happy newlyweds were continuing to celebrate their marriage.

Yep.  They know how to par-tay.  Then again, Chauncey is a bit old to go clubbing.

Meantime, a certain alien wanted some more time with a certain young lady, but she had another man on her mind...

Back at home, Hildy made a few tweaks to her teen outfits,

then she got to work helping take care of her siblings.  It looks like this young lady is following in her sister's footsteps.

"Hello, my love," Zheena greeted that man she had on her mind.

"Hello, dear," he replied.  "I'm glad you found some time to see me again.  I'm really not sure how much time I'll have left."

"Don't talk like that," she chided him, "I've found a way to give us extra time."
"What do you mean?" asked the merman.
"Have you ever heard of alchemy?" she asked as she threw a glass bottle at his feet.

So that's what the alchemy was for!

Yep.  Zheena's once again betrayed her supernatural skepticism for her love.

You'll see what it is in the next update, but those are two good guesses  ;=)

Couldn't possibly be Age Freeze or Young Again as those are both potions, not made with alchemy and can't be thrown at another Sim. My guess is the Fountain of Youth Elixir.

I'm with Rosa on fountain of youth. Maybe he'll look a little more attractive? The heart wants what the heart wants, I guess.

I second and third Rosa and Hearts. Probably would have been more amusing to have her keep the old guy around though with an age freeze, lol. Just sayin'

Very sneaky to not show the bottle, I'm guessing it was either a light blue bottle (Fountain of youth) or possibly brown (Mummy potion because a try for baby had occurred but it wasn't shown) but who knows what actually happened.

I kinda feel bad for the teenage daughters . . . I bet they have to do most of the child-rearing! Hope they like children! Ah, I was wondering about the potion. How sweet.

Eh, Zheena loves him for his soul, not his looks.

Akoni does make a rather handsome elderly gentleman  :=)

I like throwing my readers the occasional mystery/conjecture moments.  Makes it more interactive, I think.

The teenage daughters do a great job.  Abbica takes to it a bit more naturally than Hildy.    Hildy just follows Abbica's good example.

That's it Zheena, hand over the ID card now, you are kicked from the Despicable Committee of Hatred! (Don't worry, I would never personally be on that committee!)

Ghastly Hallows--Chapter 19: A Little Bit of Magic
« Reply #147 on: September 05, 2013, 11:13:00 PM »

A young face stared back at a smiling Zheena.
"What have you done?" asked Akoni.

"I gave us more time," she said with a smile.
"But...it was alchemy," he said.  You're a supernatural skeptic...you...don't you hate alchemy?"

She hugged her beloved and laughed as she said, "I love you far more than I could ever hate alchemy." And they spent some more time just enjoying being together in the dark.  And in secret.  And her husband was sleeping right through the wall from them.

While she is certainly not as enthusiastic about the job as Abbica, Brynhildr helps out with the babies.

This helps free her mom up to entertain their company.
"Yes, I do lots of research on the history of supernaturals," Chauncey replied to Zheena's question.

"Aren't crowds with torches and pitchforks just fascinating?!?" Zheena asked, not realizing how offensive it might sound.

She then went in to check on the youngsters while Annalee tried to explain to Chauncey that Zheena didn't mean to disrespect his work, she simply thought it was pointless and ridiculous.  Chauncey was not all that comforted.

"Great," muttered Zheena, "looks like I'll be adding an alien baby to the brood."

"So, a funny thing happened when I checked on the kids," Zheena began.
"Oh my gosh!!" Annalee exclaimed.  I'm going to be an auntie!  Again!

"So," Zheena responded, "when is it going to be my turn to become an auntie?"
"Look at the time, honey," said Chauncey, "we need to hurry if we're going to catch our flight."
"Our flight doesn't leave until tomorrow, sweetie," retorted Annalee.  "So, about making Zheena an auntie..."

Heheh, I love the way Zheena comforts people. "Don't worry! She doesn't disrespect your work. She just thinks it's pointless and ridiculous." And look at that young man! Not too shabby, Zhee.

I can't get over the fact that the bigot doesn't discriminate when its time to hop into the sack.

@I agree Hearts. You put it nicely. Here's my take: Annalee: your work is meaningless and I secretly agree because she does. Deal with it. More chips with your fish?
