Things got squickly very quickly! ;D
Squicky, very squicky. Gotta thank Rosa for that word!
Yep, Rosa knows how to start a trend!

Well it's certainly getting a workout. My my. :P
Doing my best to honor that lovely term  ;=)

It's true. Squicky is suddenly everywhere!
We need T-shirts!  That would be (wait for it) squick-tacular!

Squick has been around for some time, but it was always used in the sense of, like a pairing (of usually fictional characters) that someone finds rather repulsive. It seems rosa has commandeered it to mean something just a bit different! It's taken on a surprisingly frequent usage on this forum, haha.

Just started reading through this; what a fun challenge! Zheena's off to a great start. Abbica is really cool looking with the green skin and purple legs to off set it.

Thanks!  Glad you're enjoying it.  I suppose she could pass for a Dojo cousin or something...?

There were lots of interesting things happening for the family.

Abbica was enjoying school.
"Yes!  One day closer to done with school!"
Or, at least, she was making the best of it.

Alfonso had been elected into public office and had left his business career behind.  This meant that Zheena had instant options for another baby daddy from Alfonso's former co-workers to get her closer to completing the career cluster while Alfonso himself would count for the political career.

In the meantime,

it was confirmed that Zheena was pregnant with baby number three,

and the current baby

became a toddler...who doesn't wear a shirt with her jammies.
"Ugh, daddy!  Put some clothes on," groaned a sleepy Abbica, "and put some clothes on Hildy, too!"
And while "Daddy" was at work the next day, Brynhildr's actual father came by for a visit.

Hildy thought the stranger seemed very nice and snuggled right up to him.

Zheena took advantage of the opportunity to do some mother-daughter bonding time with Abbica and added purple highlights to her favorite daughter's hair.

The next day, Zheena went out with her beloved Akoni.

The merman's in the background while Zheena is getting to know Teodor.  He's a fellow she met through the on-line dating service.
"You're even prettier than your picture," he informed her.
"Yes, I am," she agreed, "and you're...fluffier...?"

The three of them enjoyed a lovely (and slightly awkward) afternoon together.

One of the other residents to pass by the restaurant while Zheena had her outing was Ashley Alto.  She is Alfonso's daughter from a previous relationship.  And she's a mermaid.

It suddenly makes more sense why he takes such good care of Abbica.

Finally, Zheena's big day arrived.

She was overcome with joy for the new baby she'd bring into the world.
"I'll be so happy to get rid of these ridiculous maternity clothes and wear something stylish again!"

And with that joyous thought, the new baby was born.

"I will call you, Cassidy," she told the baby.
"Why are you calling her that?" asked Alfonso.
"Because it's her name," she informed him.

And with an imminent age up for Brynhildr, they bought bunk beds.
"Dibs on the top bunk!" called Abbica, as she ascended to her seat of power.
And in another room, Zheena started deciding who will father baby number four...

Tip--usually it's better to wait until you have two children in the house to buy bunk beds as the adults in the house will pop a wish to do so. Just so you know.

I can't take credit for my usage of the term squick--TVTropes uses it for anything gross. And I do think my usage has fit the original definition you listed--pairing up people with family members/family members of their previous pairing = squicky!

I can't figure out what Zheena is wearing in that top photo but it is fabulous! And question--what do you mean no wonder he takes such good care of Abbica? She reminds him of his other daughter or something?

Yup, there's a lot. Squick is most common in Dojo dynasties. True fact, that.

We'll need more bunk beds once they add a bedroom for boys (she only did watermelons for Cassidy, the other two were girls by chance).
The outfit Zheena has on (which is totes faboo, by the way) is actually CC.
Glowbug husband slave is the one who gets Abbica all her kelp so that she isn't hungry all the time.  Looking back, it seems I neglected to put that in the last update.  I had intended to do so.

Well, due to the removal of Dahlia in my Breagadoir tale, story progression paired up Sotal and Fawn (both children of Dahlia) and I almost had them together.  Fortunately, I have very attentive readers (though I won't give credit to Rosa or Dolls by name).

If you already have something they won't wish to buy it. Just saying. And it seems to be triggered by them ageing up.
