Sim can't leave home

I feel now that I need some help after reading all found in this forum with this problem. I also think my problem is a bit more complicated than "just stuck in the house" (it was "stir crazy" for one or two sim- days) or the door is not working. Some days ago (sim life) she could go jogging and that way get to the beach, even if she did the same waving hands( that she can't leave, because something is on her way), but now she can't even go jogging. Afterall, I changed everything I could (door, car, I even bought a bicycle), but she can't leave home. Some of the first times, she also talked about friends with waving no, "can't leave home'.  After having seen their faces in the bubbles, I had her talked to them by phone, didn't help. She spends pretty much time with gardening at home. Now I have no idea what's next. Actually I don't wanna reset sim and I love the house I built for her. Any idea? Thanks a lot if anybody can say anything new.

Reset sim only resets the sim to a point on the lot. It doesn't change anything like the house, money, wishes or anything. So you should try reset, because, frankly, that is what anyone will tell you to try.

Indeed, the first step is to reset the sim.  It doesn't adversely effect them at all but can generally fix glitchy routing problems.  If that doesn't fix it, I would then wonder about your home lot.  Can you tell us where your home is located?  Which world and the address if possible.

Thanks a lot, guys. I tried reseting, is it normal that nothing actually happened? Isn't is supposed to take a bit long? It was about two seconds. I typed: resetSim Elisabeth Greenfield.

Well, the house is in the town that is given in Sims3 : The sunset valley, and the house is at the beach, close to the ocean.

I know it may sound strange.. But first time I built this house really florish. Full of flowers and plants, and just for the fun, I didn't do flooring. But! Until now it didn't seem to have problems with it. Just a bit less of the mood from "unfinished painting or covering .. "  Do you think the problem can be caused by that?

And something really interesting came up again: when I send her to the beach or to the park, in the bubbles I see not only the 'can't move, sg on the way" but also friends. Why? I have no idea what she wants with all that.

Interesting: I had her moved out, sell the house and than do everything back, moving back. From the new lot she could go anywhere, but now back in her home she is the same stuck in. What's wrong with that?! I am just sad, because this life that this sim has -  had, before this problem- is really the best ever, I enjoy much more than any others.. so would be so great to feel that fixed.

Try this. 

Move her out. 
Copy the current house to the library. 
Bulldoze the house. 
Place the house from the library onto the same lot. 
Move her back in and see what happens.

Probably a longshot, but I would put flooring down and see what happens.

Have you maybe placed something new that is blocking her path somehow?

Probably a silly question & I'm sure you've checked it but thought I ask just in case. Is the front door locked? Maybe worth checking that & also moving any furniture near the door inside & out to be sure nothing's blocking it. Good luck
