I love those boys! You've got such personality in your characters Tia! I have no preference for who the heir is. I love them all. :)

I hope everything goes well for your supermax! :D

Well, Thran *kinda* grew into that Arlo face. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it was going to, obviously diluting The Arlo with Jareth genes was just what was needed lol my vote is still Nuada, but Thran has become a close second *sorry Loki*

Thran is my first choice, followed by Loki. Sorry, Nuada, but you have too much pudding face for my liking.

I really hope that Thran is the heir, just because we  need more Arlo genes in the game, (and it would be the perfect way to have Quasimodo as an heir)

Arlo will never die, Dek!  Not while this dynasty keeps going, anyway.  I swear to you, back when I started this endless thing, I chose Arlo so Erik would have a reason to wear the mask.  I had no idea what I was getting into!

Wait, how did I forget to comment?  Oh my!  Nuada definitely has my vote lol LOL I lost it with Loki backwards on the horse.

Poor Loki!  I love Nuada's coloring myself, Wolfie.

Thanks, Livie, that's one of the greatest compliments a writer can get!  ;D

Oh, Mags, you haven't seen them old!  *shudders*

Thran is my first choice, followed by Loki. Sorry, Nuada, but you have too much pudding face for my liking.

But he's a really nice guy, dontmindme!  Lots of personality and good hair...(like Agnes Nitt)

Chapter Fifty - Six - Horse Wars

"Must dig nectar cellar, must dig nectar cellar," Thran muttered to himself, under the noise of the miner.

"What in the blue blazes are you doing?" Tia yelled over the noise.

"Can't hear you," he said.  "He's been making me do that thing again!"

"What thing?" Tia screamed.

"That thing!" Thran yelled back.  "If I don't get some decent nectar soon, I'm going to lose my mind!  I do not care if I have to stomp the grapes myself.  Do you know they've never even heard of Dorwininon in this cursed land?  So I am digging a nectar cellar."

"That's not your supermax, Thran!  Get off that thing and back to the horses!  Sheesh, I leave you guys alone for a couple of weeks and look what happens!  Where's His Nibs anyhow?"

"Kitchen," Thran grumbled, putting away the miner.  "I hate this place."

"Where have you been, minion!" Jareth asked.  "There was a shift in the space time continuum, I felt it.  We don't have another bug, do we?"

"Nothing that dramatic, GK," Tia said, unable to hide the smugness in her voice.  "I just had a little side project to do.  Here."  She handed him an envelope.

"What's this, then?  More restrictions or penalties?"

"A few pictures.  I thought you might be interested, since you don't have any faith in my abilities.  Go ahead, take a look."

"Does this affect the dynasty?" Jareth asked.

"Not at all.  Separate file, not the official one,"  Tia crowed.  "Keep going."

"And," Tia crowed, "they also fulfilled all the other requirements, except there really wasn't time for the sculptures and photos, but they all got portraits painted and ops and the rest.  And they finished two days before hitting Elder!  In your face, GK!"

"And you did this on the first attempt?" Erik asked, looking over Jareth's shoulder.

Tia's face fell.  "Well, no, it was the second."

"Then I was right," Erik said.

"No, you said it was impossible." Tia protested.  "The heir still got everything done on the first try..."

"In the meantime," Jareth interrupted, "we have things in this dynasty to take care of."

YOU GO TIA! Woo! Knock out those Supermaxes!
That's fantastic work! Despite it being a side project. I'm rooting for you!

Thanks, Livie!  I just wanted to see if it was possible.  Now, back to our regularly scheduled madness!

Chapter Fifty-Seven - Jareth Strikes Back

"Excuse me, you Glitterness," Tia said, interrupting his sculpture session.  "Could I have a word outside?"

"Not until I get this done!" he snapped.  "Do you have any idea how difficult it is to schedule everyone?"

"Fine, meet me outside."

*****

"Now, what is that?" Tia asked.

"I would have thought it was obvious.  It's a shed." Jareth said, flicking his sleeve.

"Just a simple shed?"

Jareth shrugged.  "Thran was becoming distressed at the nectar situation.  So I thought we would build him a little wine cellar.  And, due to your horrendous attempts at architecture, there is no feasible place for a stairway in the house."  He waved a hand at the tiny building.  "Thus, a shed."

"Riiiiiggghhhttt." Tia drawled.  "You pulled them away from adopting those infuriating wild horses to build a nectar cellar?"

"We may have added a few small improvements on the original design.  Loki was very helpful with that."  Jareth continued, completely unperturbed.

"Jareth, you built a gol-dang man-cave right in the middle of my dynasty!"  Tia exploded.

"Pish."  Jareth dismissed the complaint with a wave of a gloved hand.  "A king needs a place to unwind after a hard day doing whatever it is you have them doing so secretly."

"And you are all drinking the good stuff!  We may need that later on!"

"It can be replaced," he smiled.  "You do go on about the silliest things, minion."

"Erik doing creepy science stuff in the corner is not silly.  Hey, Erik." Tia said.

"Hello, Tia, Jareth." Erik replied, not looking up.

"It relaxes him." Jareth said smoothly.

"Does this have anything to do with Nuada's simbot army?" Tia asked, her eyes narrowing.

"Possibly?" Erik muttered.

*****

"Would you like to be my noble steed and ride at the head of my simbot army?" Nuada whispered.

"Can I design the uniforms?" Rarity asked.

"Little help over here, Nuada?" Loki yelled.

"He's never around when you need him," Thran complained.

****

"Look who followed me home!" Loki exclaimed.  "Can I keep him?"

"Oh, lord, not another one!  That makes three you guys have found.  Can we stop now?"  Tia asked.

"He's level 10 in jumping and running," Loki pointed out.

"And yet he hates jumping," Tia mused.  "Tell me, Meteor, how is that possible?  And what do you know about actual meteors?"

"I'm just here for the carrots, lady," Meteor grumbled.

*****

And so the dynasty rumbled on.  Once the supermax was finished, the ops done and art packed away, everyone's thoughts turned to getting ready for the next generation.

Yes, everyone.

Jareth had been on the lookout for a suitable spouse for a while.

"Your dreams, anything you want."

But Tia got in before him.

"Hey, everyone, meet Margie!  She's perfect.  She's a week from elder, she's easy to get along with and she's got Commitment Issues!"

"No!" Jareth protested.

"Oh, yes, Jareth.  For my kingdom is as vast as yours and my power as great..." Tia smirked.

Everyone adored Margie, when they weren't all fighting with her about her wicked ways.  She was secretly married to one brother, had affairs with the other two and Gytha on the side.  Yes, gentle readers, they were exciting times.

But at last the deed was done, and Gen Five made her arrival.

And in this, Jareth had triumphed.  Luna had returned.

Welcome back Luna! Jareth will be so happy!
Your secretive nature about this is killing me! I can't wait to see who the heir actually is!
I love the man cave too, by the way, that was hilarious. "A few design improvements of course..."
Congratulations on the Supermaxes, Tia!
