Woohoo! Congrats on number four Tia! Lol, I cracked up pretty good about the "Take A Hint, Raina, Memorial Gardens". I probably laughed a lot harder than was appropriate lol
Me too, lol!
Number four--immortalized! <dun, dun, duuuun!>
Congratulations on being halfway finished!
Thanks, Raia, it's the next half that gets dicey...
Nice job. I have never stuck with a dynasty past the second generation. And Luna...she's just wonderful. Just the screenshots of Luna, even without narration, are somehow happy. You've really captured the essence of the character in the look. I approve. A lot.
Oh, and trickster god posing as a bowling champion. Loved it!
Thanks, Pip, that's high praise!
Oh gosh... I don't even want to think about a Sim hanging on too long in my dynasty.
This is truly scary.
Haha.
"Take A Hint," that's so great though.
At least Luna has plenty of time before she'll need to start worrying about her "biological clock."
There's always one sim who just won't die, Livvie. It'll drive you crazy after a while.
Nothing says it's time to move on so much as buying that certain special sim their very own graveyard. Also, congrats on making it to the half-way point!
Thanks, Rhoxi! When flowers and chocolates just won't do...
Chapter Thirty-Five - The Desolation of LokiJust a typical Tuesday night at the Goblin King Residence.
Luna out befriending horses, since there were no Thestrals. Loki's trap was still going strong, which was surprising since he'd set that bad boy back when he was a teen.
"Um, guys?" Tia said, startled. "Raina just turned red and disappeared from the side panel. Anybody have any ideas?"
"She's obviously died, minion," Jareth said, wiping away tears. "I don't know why I'm crying, I didn't even like her that much!"
"I got that," Tia snapped, "I mean does anybody know where she was? I didn't see Grim, the camera didn't pan, I have no idea where she was!"
"She went to a party with that new guy she met," Legolas said, sobbing, as Gytha whipped out the moodlet manager. A few quick cures later and the family had a brisk discussion.
"So nobody has any clue where she could be?" Tia said, rolling her eyes. "She had the motive mobile with her."
"Not again," Jareth sighed.
"It's not like you use the points for anything else anymore, Kingy, my lad," Gytha pointed out.
"Wait, no, good news!" Jareth said, checking his pockets. "Got all her stuff right here."
"If I can't find her urn or tombstone we don't get to put her in the Memorial Gardens." Tia pointed out.
"Ironic, that," Loki said.
"Just keep an eye out, that's all," Legolas said. "Is there any of that lobster thingy left?"
So Raina was gone. One of the Dynasty's great mysteries. Things went on as usual.
"This horse is deformed," Loki called to Jareth. "And it misses Raina, so it won't run."
"What's wrong with it?" Jareth asked, taking a moment from convincing Brego why it would be very profitable, carrot-wise, to win lots of races.
"It's only got four legs!" Loki told him, disgusted. "Can't get any speed out of a horse like that."
"That's because that's Silver, not Sleipnar." Jareth shook his head. "If he won't run because he's sad, out he goes. Luna's not having another Artax moment."
Somewhere in all this, Luna aged up to YA, which everyone missed, and found her special friend.
"So you're not Princess Celestia?" Luna asked her.
"Nope, name's Vinyl Scratch. Common mistake though," the unicorn told her.
"I'll call you Dubstep for short," Tia said.
Loki called Luna into his room. "It's come!" he told her, excitedly.
"This will show
L'glas and his little Tueth..." he chuckled.
"It's Tooth, I tells ya!" Gytha said, coming in.
"I am Smaug, the great and terrible!" the red dragon protested, raising his wings and trying to bellow.
"Ye gods, another one!" Gytha said.
"A present for Luna," Loki told Gytha, handing the little beast to his new owner.
"He's a cute little monster, I'll give him that," Gytha said. "But he's to mind the rules, same as Tooth. No burning down bits of the house when no one's lookin'."
"Do you think that flattery will keep you alive?" Smaug protested.
"I knows that a sharp rap in the nose with the paper will keep you in line," Gytha replied.
"Oh, Legolas," Loki called cheerfully. "Guess who Luna's got now?"
"Why do you hate me?" Legolas asked his brother.
"Just want you to remember me." Loki told him.
"A nice portrait of us would have done just as well," Legolas said, backing out of the house. "I'll be at the archery range, if anyone's looking for me for the next few generations."
Luna planned a special outing with Jareth and Gytha.
"Hey, did we find Raina?" Tia asked.
"No, I've met someone," Luna said, hiding a shy smile. "I want Jareth and Gytha to get to know him."
"Well, Boxer," Loki said sadly, "You've learned a lot in the past few days. Tomorrow you get sold, but not to the glue factory this time, I promise."
And that night...
LOKI, YOUR BROTHER HAS REQUESTED YOUR PRESENCE, Death said. I'M SORRY YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SAY GOODBYE TO LUNA.
"It's okay. Look after her, Jareth, Gytha." he replied. "She's very special."
"Of course, Loki. Good luck with your plans for your father's kingdom." Jareth nudged Death. "Do you think we could borrow Binky for a little while?"
