Sorry you lost all the pictures, but it's okay. You're getting halfway there!  ;D
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

Oh my.  Li' Gwendy.  How very gangsta of you  :=)
Lovely update.  Adored your usage of the glitch with the guitar.  I sometimes think that the glitches are more fun than the game itself.

I love the glitches when they don't break the game! ;)  Glad you liked it, Pip.

Thanks, Raia!

Thanks, Rhoxi!

Another quick note, I'm not expecting a full recovery, realistically, until the fall.  So the updates will be sporadic, but they will still be coming.  Thanks so much for your patience.   ;D   And now, back to our story.

Chapter Twenty-Eight - Elf Out For Himself

"I knew it was coming," Loki told Legolas, "but it's a little sooner than I expected, bro."

"I know, but the timing just seemed to be right.  The sooner I get the stupid requirements out of the way, the sooner I can start doing what I want."

"What are you going to call her?" Loki asked.

"She says her name is Tueth," his brother replied.

"Oh, no you don't, my lad," Gytha called from down the hall.  "You'll call her Tooth, and if Lessa comes pokin' 'round, we don't know nothin', understand?"

With his latest shenanigan, Legolas was able to supermax the gardening skill in record time.

"This had better not upset your ops," Jareth warned him.

"Especially since you keep waking me up with this piano playing all night!"

"It's his outfits keeping me up all night," Erik muttered.

"It's only for another few generations," Mag soothed him.  "I'm glad I'm going to miss his elder styles."  She shuddered.

"I wish you wouldn't rub it in like that," Erik said glumly.  "You won't be here to see the fruition of my long term plans for the theater, either."

Mag smiled.  "You mean your scheme to rig it up with explosives, an underground lair and a very unstable chandelier?"

Erik rubbed the back of his neck.  "Actually, I meant the new facade on the front, but I think I like your suggestion much better.  Maybe I can get Aunt Lisa to stand under it," he brightened.

"Darlene would take care of maintenance of it for you," Mag mused.  "If you gave her a sharp enough saw for the rope..."

"Much as I hate to interrupt all of this romantic plotting," Tia said, "how are the books coming along, Mag?"

"I have written the complete Everyone Has A ... series."  Mag said proudly.  "I have begun work on several volumes on how not to maim oneself with various household implements."

"Everyone Has An Esophagus was a real scream," Loki added, coming in.  "I laughed for hours over the illustrations in that one."

Meanwhile, Raina was proving that she had very little conception of personal space.

"Must you read it aloud?" Jareth complained.  "That Edward chap should just bite the head off that Bella girl and be done with it!"

"I thought you'd enjoy a story about a supernatural lover," Raina told him.  "Or does it hit too close to home for you?"

"The only thing I have in common with that prat is that they used my discarded glitter out of the carpets to make him sparkle!"

"I'm hungry, Jareth.  Go get me a snack." Raina turned a page.

"Go yourself!" Jareth snapped, pulling the pillow over his head.  "Just make sure it's an apple."

"Whatever," Raina said, heading for the kitchen.

"Hey, Leggy," she said, as the elf came in.  "Have you got an apple on you?  Oh wait, I've got to pee.  Come with me."

He followed her into the bathroom.  "Nope, just got one of these," he said, tossing the melon to her.

"Close enough," she said with a shrug.

All I can think of regarding the "Everyone Has A(n)" series is the "I am Jack's ...." thing from Fight Club.

Watermelon.  Nice!  This story needs more girl power.  Next addition:  Baby Spice!  ;=)
Seriously, though, lovely update.  I enjoy how you gave the nice view of interactions all around the house and gave everyone a voice (which is hard in a large household).

Thanks, Pip!  I'm really glad you're enjoying this.  And it's not exactly Baby Spice... *grins*

Chapter Twenty-Nine - The Politics of Power

Loki was finding his scheme of peaceful world domination, well, less than satisfactory.

"It's nothing but endless debates, bad coffee at the meetings and frustration.  There has to be a better way!" he told the family.

"That's democracy for you," Jareth shrugged from the rocker.  "I, on the other hand, just have to poof in, kick a few stray goblins and watch them cower.  Perhaps you should consider creating a Bog of Eternal Stench somewhere in town.  Usually the threat of being bogged is enough to keep the rabble in line."

"Speaking of which," Mag interjected, "that memo from Arlo is still waiting for your answer.  He's presented a fairly comprehensive Bill Of Goblin Rights for you to go over."

"Dear old Arlo," Jareth muttered.  "Still causing difficulties from the beyond."

"I think my expertise is more in line with Jareth's on this," Erik added.  "Intimidation and fear are generally used by villains.  Any thoughts, Mag?"

She laughed.  "Economic pressures can be just as effective as intimidation, my dear.  Remember when they decided to repossess my eyes?"

"You'll think of something, my lad," Gytha told him.

And Loki did.

"Together, Tueth, you and I can rule this town!  You shall be my enforcer, the steel to my velvet glove..."

"I cannot, Loki," Tueth said.  "I was impressed by L'glas and besides that, I am merely a green..."

"You stop that right now, the pair of you!" Gytha cried, barging in the bathroom.  "Tooth is a simple gardening dragon."  The little green huffed at her.  "That's our story and we're stickin' to it, no matter what.  Lessa in a pet is somethin' better left lie."

Meanwhile...

"Things are going well, then," Jareth smiled.  "You've been sticking to the diet, of course."

"What diet?" Raina asked.

"The apple diet?" Jareth said, puzzled.  "To guarantee a male child?"

"Oh, that," Raina waved her hand dismissively.  "I don't like apples all that much.  So I've had what I did like, grilled cheese, lobster thermidor, melons, that kind of thing."

"We had an agreement!" Jareth raged.  "You were supposed to have a male child..."

"Hold up, old man," Raina said, interuppting him.  "Our contract, which you shook on, said a child.  This is that child.  So you get what you get, got it?

Jareth stared at her opened mouthed for a moment.  Then he stormed off into his room.

"I've got book three to read to you tonight," Raina called after him.

A few days later, poor Erik was caught up in the labour drama again.

"Will it be James this time?" he asked, hopping from foot to foot.

"Darned if I know," Raina shrugged.  "Could be Elvis for all I know.  I just want to get back to work.  I'm on a deadline here, y'know."

And a few hours later...

"Here you go, Jareth, your fifth generation.  Gytha tells me she's called Luna?"

"Luna Livewell?" Jareth asked, taking the pink bundle.

"Lovegood." Tia told him.  "You're still horrible at names.  And you seem to be almost happy about this."

He snuggled the baby.  "I like Miss Lovegood.  She's one of the few people to seem to recognize my status."

Happy to be keeping you amused, Hazelnut!

Aww, it was sweet watching Jareth become a big softie when baby Luna showed up.

I have a theory of my own that Jareth really loves kids and is just trying to save the unwanted ones that get wished away, but that's a whole 'nother story.

Chapter Thirty - Eclipse

With the baby safely delivered, Raina threw herself into her work with a new enthusiasm. So much so that she started breaking the laws of physics.

The little pink burrito aged up into her adorable toddler stage.  The family quickly taught her to walk and talk and use the potty in record speed, Gytha and Jareth fighting over the honour.

"This is delicious, Mrs Ogg," she said, enjoying her lunch.

"Is it made with fresh plimpies?"

"Nothin' fancy like that," Gytha told her.  "It's just lobster thermathingy."

"Will you take me out for a walk in the stroller this afternoon, Your Majesty?" she asked Jareth.  "I'd like to start looking for Nargles."

"Your Majesty," Erik snickerd from behind his book.  "Haven't heard that in a while, have you, oh King Glittertights?"

"It's only polite," Luna pointed out, taking a drink from her sippy cup.

"You're going to be in the family for quite a while, my dear," Mag told her gently.  "I'm sure Jareth won't mind if you call him by name."

"I won't?" Jareth asked, as Gytha elbowed him in the ribs.  "I mean, of course I won't."

"And you call me Nanny, alright?" Gytha added.

****

Loki started her on riding lessons almost immediately.

"Since you're so interested in all the different creatures here, Luna, do you know where I can find a dragon that won't be so subservient to Legolas?"

"Perhaps one of the other breeds?" she told him, rocking smoothly.  "I remember hearing something about the dragons in his home world being very ferocious."

Legolas taught her on the xylophone whenever he had a spare moment.

"I'm very glad you're here, Luna.  Just two more ops and I'm done with all this."

"What will you do after that?" she asked him.

"I have some plans," he told her, a crooked grin on his face.  "I don't want Jareth to get too complacent."

She aged up so quickly.  And took after Mag so much.

Mag got a visitor a few days later.

SUSAN ASKED ME TO COME AND COLLECT YOU, MAG.  Death said.  SHILOH IS IN NEED OF YOU AND SUSAN HAS OTHER OBLIGATIONS AT THE MOMENT.

"I guess that's it for me, then."  Mag said briskly.  "Loki, tell Erik I'll call him when I get settled back at the building.  Remind him to get a second estimate on those catacombs he's designing, I don't trust that contractor he's got."

"Will do, Mag," Loki said.  He looked around at the sound of a sniffle.

"Tia? Are you...crying?" he asked.

"No, no, well, not much.  Mag has been around for so long."

"I'll call.  Goodbye everyone!" Mag waved cheerily and then took Death's hand.

It was the end of an era.

Oh my gosh!  I guess I'd just started to think of Mag as another one of the immortals.  That caught me slightly off guard.
