Contact lens accessory. I'll send you the link later.

Also, guys, I just had a scary/hilarious thought: What if Legolas and/or Loki ends up looking like Arlo?! I know this sounds weird coming from me, but I really hope they take after Gytha/Jareth/Mag.
Better question-will the fangirls still love them?  :-\

haha. Worries not. If they does somehow unfortunately miserably got the horrendous look for the guy Gytha choose we fangirls would just have to wish the file is getting corrupted again and they repeat the pregnancy until we get the NON-Arlo face.
And of course we still love the earth dimension Legolas and Loki.

The update was fantastic enough...but the comments thereafter are just priceless. :)
Comments From Goofballs: Enriching your reading experience since the first vandalized textbook.

I love the comments you guys make, seriously, it's the best part of posting the story!

Tom Hiddleston is love.
Tom Hiddleston is life.

And it's kind of funny, because Loki/Tom Hiddleston is to Thor/Avengers as Legolas/Orlando Bloom was to Lord of the Rings. (And by that I mean that they both brought in hordes of fangirls that just about outnumbered the crowd that actually knew and were fans of the source material beforehand. There was actually an arc in Foxtrot called "Orlando Bloom Has Ruined Everything" that summed the phenomena up quite nicely. Not that I mean any disrespect, of course, since I'm Team Loki all the way.)

Just remember who's got Legolas plastered all over her laptop, honey,  ;)  I agree with your theory, though.

*brain esplodes* This is the second time I have almost died this week from laughing... because laughing brings on a coughing fit XD This place is utterly dangerous... but oh so worth it!  And Gwendy... that comment was about the third time XD  This is so fantastic!  I can't wait to see what happens!

Feel better soon, Shewolf!  Sorry about nearly killing you...

Hey! So, I just started reading and I wanted to know how you got your founder differently colored eyes?
Contact lens accessory. I'll send you the link later.

In light of all the trouble I've had with the file, I really caution everybody about using cc.  Use your powers responsibly, kids!

Ahh, the great questions of the age!

Chapter Twenty-Four - The Bishi* Generation

*Literally means "pretty boy," as in an attractive member of the male gender. The stereotypical bishounen generally has long hair, a slender, graceful figure, and lacks facial hair. They are also likely to have certain personality traits, like sensitivity, secretiveness, moodiness, refinement, and a dark, tormented past. - From the Urban Dictionary.

A few days later, once the twins had aged up to toddler, Gytha got a phone call.

"Gthya?  Gytha Ogg?  Is that you?" a voice boomed in her ear.

"Yes, Esme," she grinned.  "Where did you get a cell phone?"

"I'm usin' Agnes'.  She come back from visiting her friend Christine with some strange stories, Gytha.  What's all this about you be widowed eight times?  Sounds wasteful to me, what with so many women lookin' for husbands, for you to be havin' so many."

"Wasn't like that at all, Esme," Gytha laughed.  "Were the same man over and over again.  Very economical, you might say."

"Hmph!  And you've not been wearin' the hat.  Very important, the hat."

"Got one now, Esme."

"And them red boots again, I hear."

"They had hardly any wear, Esme."

"And what about the goings on?"

"Gotta run, Esme, the babbies are lookin' for me.  Good talkin' to you though," Gytha hung up.

"Nanny!  Let us out!" Loki demanded.  "We've been trapped in here for days!"

"You just stay in there," Tia scolded.  "I love that playpen.  It's like a motive mobile for toddlers.  Just keep playing with your brother."

"He's not my brother," Legolas snarled.  "He's just another Trickster."

"I"m a god," Loki told him.

"Really?  Then why can't you god us out of here?"

"That's it, play with your brother, now where did she get to?" Tia said distractedly.

For another, more dangerous problem had surfaced.  Tia was beginning to understand  what had happened between Gytha and Arlo and it was about to happen again.

"Mag!  Are you flirting with Gytha again?" Tia asked.

"She flirts with me," Mag corrected.  "Then I can't help but flirt back, due to this terrible romantic trait you gave me."

"Why don't I take care of the problem?" Tia asked.  "Here, have a midlife crisis."

"I'm twenty-seven.  Isn't it a little soon?"

"Trust me.  Why don't you become an Angler instead?"

***

"Hello, Aunt Darlene, Aunt Lisa," Erik said.

"Well, look who finally came to visit!"  Lisa snapped.  "Why don't you call more often, Erik?"

"I fixed your stereo, Aunt Darlene," he said wearily.

"And you haven't even invited us over to see the twins." Lisa continued.

Erik rubbed the back of his neck.  "They're having some issues right now, Aunt Lisa.  It's probably for the best if you wait till they're a little older."

"Mag hasn't been by either," Lisa said.

"She's been doing some therapy, Aunt Lisa.  I've got to go, I promise I'll call later."

"Thanks for the stereo," Darlene said.

***

"You two look thrilled," Tia remarked sarcastically.  "What's up?"

"I don't think I like this look." Jareth said.  "Why do I have to look like this Bowie fellow anyway?"

"Fine," Tia said.  "Next go-round at the mirror, I'll fix it up again.  And Gytha, you can stop giving me that look.  I don't care who you flirt with outside the house, but everyone in here is off limits.  It gets way too complicated."

***

"I've got a plan." Loki said.

Legolas snorted.  "They don't buy that 'I need to use the facilities' ploy.  Since you won't stop talking, all of our needs are completely green."

"Look, all you have to do is boost me over the side.  Then I'll grab something to stand on and pull you out."  Loki explained.  "Even your little elf brain can see it's flawless."

"I don't trust you, Loki," Legolas told him.  "You'll just leave me here."

"No, I won't.  You're my best friend," he paused.  "Why are you my best friend?"

"Because you won't shut up," Legolas growled.  "There's a better way."

"Oh, I can't wait to hear this," Loki mocked.

"Watch and learn."  Legolas told him.  "Tia!  Tia!"

"What, I'm busy with Erik, he's going crazy building the floor things."

"I'm not going to do my requirements.  I'm going to escape from this playpen and hide until the social services come and take me away."

"No, you're going to stay right there, young elf.  Look, it's only for another day, then you can do what you want."

"Right.  Like skill up and do boring school work and 'make friends'.  Not happening."

Tia's eyes narrowed.  "What do you want?"

"I want to pick my own trait when I get to childhood."

Erik went running down the hall.

"Fine, fine, just stay in there!  Erik, for Eru's sake, put some clothes on!"

"That's how it's done," Legolas told Loki smugly.  "You've got a lot to learn about this dynasty business."

And so the next day, when the twins aged up, Loki claimed there was a Favoured Nation clause in all playpen contracts and got to pick his own trait as well.

Legolas picked Rebellious.

While Rebellious picked Loki.

So...they both ended up rebellious, but it was intentional for Legolas and not Loki?  Interesting.
I enjoy the depiction of the scattered and distracted attention of the Watcher in this update.  Very relatable  :=)

This is soooo NOT a bishi(bishounen).

Yeah, Arlo's genes are like, ridiculously stupidly strong, trust me. I don't know if it was intentional on the developer's part, but in contrast, the Steel lips don't hold a CANDLE to Arlo's face.

Well, it's the beauty on the inside that counts, right?

GK still looks awesome to me! I'm so, so happy for you and your HOF chance!
I had a feeling the challenge team wouldn't object to a "I have no other choice in order to play this game" mod fix. They just ask that you wait until it's the *final* straw. Besides, it would be a shame if the GK couldn't make it to the HOF, and now Sarah has nothing to complain about. Haha, I'm so glad to see Legolas back! I'm still laughing at the title of the chapter. It's probably pretty silly but, "pretty boy" haha.

Anyways, I'm excited to see more and hopefully follow you to HOF! :D

"Then why can't you god us out of here." Hahaha! For some reason, I'm loving "god" as a verb. And wow, I can't believe I only just now picked this up! It's freakishly hilarious, even though I'm not familiar with the comic and many of the sources for the characters. Apparently the funny bone runs strong in your family, Tia. Hey all!  I can't figure out how to go back further than five quotes on here...

But yes, Pip, Loki can't seem to escape the Rebellious trait!  I know everyone who's played has been driven to distraction by their sims an one time or another.

Wow... *keeps going back to look at that update* I don't know whether to be intrigued or horrified.  Watching Erik run around naked is pretty funny though XD Love watching Sims do that XD

I felt bad for him, he was working all day, coming home and building floor hygineators all night, it just seemed that he needed to run around in the buff for a bit.  (It took me a couple game days to get used to the twins myself  ;D )

Don't worry, Trident, I've got a plan!  It's an awful, sneaky plan, but I think I can shake up the genetics a bit...

Thanks, Livvie!  Our challenge team are awesome on this site.  Jareth will probably go through a few more incarnations in this, I like messing with him.

Thanks, Rhoxi!  True story for you, when all my kids were still at home, Gwendy, NotGwendy and their brother would hold contests at the dinner table to see who could make their youngest brother spit milk out his nose/fall off his chair.   ;)  They got bonus points if I spit milk out my nose...

I'm with Trident on this one, totally gobsmacked.  Why couldn't I get an Albertus?

Thanks again to everyone who reads and enjoys this story.  Y'all really make my day!

Chapter Twenty-Five - The Terrible Two

(Just a quick explanation for something here.  In the Roommates/Girls Next Door universe, Jareth is related to all the mythical/magical folk, who are all related to each other, except for the ones in the Tolkien universe.  Jareth's mother has been revealed as Jadis, the White Witch from Narnia, who rules winter.)

"All right, Loki, it's time for you to explain yourself," Jareth said, interrupting the boy's court session.

"I'm here to lend you a hand, Uncle Jareth," Loki told him with a smile.  "Grandmother was telling Laufey and they were laughing hard enough to crack the ice.  I've always felt you and I had similar natures and thought I would pop by to see if you needed any help."

"A valiant effort, Loki.  Now the truth, if you please."  Jareth said, hands on hips.

"Jadis sent me as a spy.  Grandmother is quite entertained by your efforts."  Loki smiled broadly.

Jareth shuddered.  "My mother is quite capable of keeping tabs on me on her own, boy."

Loki sighed.  "I was bored.  You've got a whole little kingdom here you could be ruling.  I'm curious as to why you haven't bent them all to your will by now."

Jareth pulled out a chair and sat.  "I already have a realm to govern, Loki.  This place is temporary.  And the simple truth is that I can't, this...situation must be handled with the utmost delicacy."

"It always comes back to women, doesn't it," Loki said sadly, sitting beside Jareth.  "Since you're not going to take over, do you mind if I take a crack at it?"

Jareth shrugged.  "You and the elf are the fourth generation.  I can't have you disrupting my plans again, not this far into the game."  He tapped his finger to his lips.  "But I think I can find some use for you, since you are trapped here."

Meanwhile...

"Legolas!" Jareth shouted.  "Stop blocking the shower and come have your art done!"

"Shan't!" the elf shouted back.  "I'm busy."

"Put Patterns away and co-operate, there's a good lad," Gytha urged.  "Could be there's a pie in it for you."

"Erik is preparing another giant explosion in the yard," Mag cajoled.  "You could help him, when this is done."

"Stop trying to bribe me, Mag," Legolas said.  "I didn't want to come, and I don't have to do this.  There's nothing in for me but five lives worth of boredom in that greenhouse.  If Jareth misses the art, it's over and I can go back."

"Oh, no you can't, Lasse," Tia said, channeling Agnes.  "If Jareth misses the art, I'm having him start again, and I'm having you be the first heir.  Don't make me call your father, young elf.  I understand he's not himself at the moment."

"Bloody movie," Legolas snarled.  "He wasn't like that originally."

"I know, I know," Tia soothed.  "Look, why don't you co-operate, and I promise to find things to keep you busy."

"Fine," he snapped.  "But I'm not happy about this."

Erik finished his supermax, to everyone's great relief.

And went on to work even harder at his career.

"Erik!  Why haven't you been by?" Lisa snapped.

"Hello, Aunt Lisa.  Did you want an atuograph?"

"Don't be silly!  Your Aunt Darlene is very upset with you, you know."

"I'll try to come over as soon as I can." Erik apologized.

"Didn't you have a party for the boys?  Your father always threw great parties.  I'm sure Gytha would arrange one if you asked her."

"Things have been a little hectic, Aunt Lisa."

Obviously...

"So you're saying that convincing people that they want to do what I want them to do is more effective than fireballs?" Loki asked.

"Not that there's anything wrong with a well-placed fireball, but them's showy.  Too much like wizard magic."

Legolas just sighed and started making his own plans...

And the boys aged up.  Everyone held their breath...

Loki went first.

"It's like that Rocky kid in the movie Mask," Tia muttered.  "Your face just keeps getting bigger.  Here, try a hat."

"Legolas, come on, we haven't got all day."

"I think the problem is that you have no contrast at all.  You're all one colour."

"I am not," he protested.  "I have lavender eyes."

"That no one can see." Tia sighed.

"I don't care for this look on me,"  Legolas said.

"Just go with it for now, okay?  You can choose whatever you want when you hit Young Adult."
