Oh my... I love foreshadowing!  Hehe, can't wait to see what new torments fun things that Erik has planned!

He and the diabolical lovely Mag have definitely come up with a new scheme!  ::)

Haha, Erik is awesome. I love him! Just imagine when he's not there maybe this dynasty would be seems lonely with his mischief. I’ll be waiting for what kind of havoc that he’ll create since he’s age up now ;D

I think havoc should be his middle name, Eld!

I love Eric and Mag, I'm eager to see what their child would look like.

We all are, Nettlejuice.  'Specially Jareth.   ;)

Loving this!!!

Thank you, Magpie!

I just came across this story and so far I must say that I am blown away. Your approach to this dynasty is so unique and utterly hilarious. It will take me some time to catch up to current events but so far I am thoroughly enjoying Jareth playing mind games with Agnes!

I'm so glad you like it!  It's a lot of fun to play.

Love the title of this chapter.  ;)

It did sort of fit.   :)

Chapter Eighteen - Mag's Contract's Got Some Might Fine Print.

"So, that's the end of the shower shenanigans?" Jareth asked, firing up the chainsaw.  "As I assume you do want your mask back at some point."

Erik struck his most heroic/crazy-guy-in-the-cellar pose and nodded.  "I'm finished with that, Jareth.  No more childish pranks from me, no sir, not at all."

"Good," Jareth grunted.  "The piano was delivered this morning, so you can stop with all this inventing foolishness."

"As a point of fact, he can't, GK," Tia interjected.  "It's going to be his supermax."

"Detonations and all," Erik grinned wickedly.  "I understand that sports cars do quite nicely."

"And when, exactly, did this happen?" Jareth asked, his voice as cold as the ice he carved.

"Sarah pretty much gave him a free pass on this, GK."  Tia said.  "He has a certain amount of autonomous control over his own destiny."

Erik began to hum to himself happily.

Jareth turned off the chainsaw and turned around very carefully.  "Where is young Mag?" he asked, his eyes wide.

"Showing Arlo the new pool centre," Erik told him.  "Since we named it after him and everything."

"You did?" Jareth asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, of course.  It's the Arlo Bunch Community Dynasty Exercise Facility."

"The ABCDEF for short," Tia added.  Jareth sunk his head into his hands.

"Are you happy with the arrangement of the facility, Arlo?" Mag asked him.  "We can rearrange it for you if you like."

"I notice you're sticking to me like glue, Mag." Arlo replied.  "How long until he finds it, do you think?"

"Right about now, I believe."

"Do you mind if we go back home now, Arlo?  I've got a few hours left before the sparkles."

"Ah-ha!" Jareth cried, leaping out at Mag in the garden.  "I'm not letting you out of my sight until you age up, my girl."

"Ah-ha?" she asked.  "Is that a new Goblin phrase I've yet to learn?"

"Really, your Majesty, it sounds more like a cartoon villain.  Perhaps it would be more convincing if you grew a mustache to twirl?"

He waved a gloved finger at her.  "I'm watching you, miss," he told her.

She shrugged.  "Watch away, if it pleases you.

He did.

"Not bad, Mag," Erik said, appreciatively.

Mag, in addition to her other gifts, had the best fashion sense ever seen on randomly clothed sims.

"Thank goodness that's over with," Jareth said gleefully.

"I think the proper response is 'Ah-ha!'", Mag said, sticking her head in through the doorway.  "And I'm feeling no guilt or need of forgiveness.  This is wonderful!"

Arlo had taken himself off to the gym.

"Arlo, you're eighty-six years old!" Tia exclaimed.  "What's this all about?  Look at you sweat!"

"I need the LTHP for one more thing.  The kids are going to need it," he panted.

"What could they possibly need that much?  You're going to kill yourself on that thing!"

"Close," he told her.

Meanwhile, Gytha cornered Mag.

"You're young adult now, Mag.  When's the baby due?"

Mag shrugged.  "I don't know."

"I've got the cookery book with the special recipes if you need a little help.  Time's a tickin', y'know.  I always found a bottle of nectar and a bit of cinnamon did wonders."

Mag laughed.  "I'm not in a hurry, Gytha.  I'm going to have a career first."  She left Gytha looking flabbergasted.

"What's this about having a career before Jamie?" Jareth asked her later that night.  "You can do both quite easily, Gytha, Arlo and I are home all the time."

Mag laughed.  "Sarah hasn't told you yet?"

"Told me what?" he asked.  "Minion?" he called, "what's this foolishness about now?"

"I've got no idea, GK," Tia told him.  "Better get her on the phone."

He pulled out the cell and started dialing.  Tia waited with baited breath while Mag looked very amused.

"Hello, Precious!  It's good to hear your voice."  He listened for a moment, then rolled his eyes in exasperation and  interrupted her.

"Has there been some change with Jamie's arrival I don't know about?" he asked.  "Mag is saying you need to tell me something."

He listened intently, his free hand clenching tighter and tighter, pulling the soft leather of his glove.  His eyebrows met across the bridge of his nose and he scowled ferociously.

"But, Precious," he tried to interrupt again.  The voice on the other end continued and he shook his head.

"It wasn't like that at all, Sarah.  The Bunch boy was the obvious choice."

He paused again, nodding and waited for Sarah to finish.

"They're much too busy right now for the kind of time that would take.  We do have a schedule to keep.  They're in a committed relationship now, won't that do?"

Sarah's voice was so loud that Jareth held the phone away from his ear.

"Alright, we'll do it your way.  But I'm upping the stakes.  It's a month in Paris, now.  Yes, a whole month, not a lunar month.  No, we won't be staying with Christine's boyfriend.  Christine is not invited.  What do you mean, you can invite her to the same hotel?"

He noticed Mag giggling and fought for composure.  "Yes, Precious.  But it was only a few hours..."  He gave up.  "Everything I do, Sarah, as always.  Yes.  Goodbye."

He pocketed the phone.

"She seems to still be carrying a bit of a grudge." He fiddled with his gloves.  "Mag and Erik need to throw wishes to get married and have a child."

"What?" Tia shrieked.  "That's not..."

"Don't even think it!" Jareth snapped.
..."For my schemes are as devious as yours, and my crazy as great..." Erik to Sarah and Jareth

What a fantastic update Tia! ABCDEF totally got to me too, and let's be honest, it is absolutely ingenious.

Also, I'm very curious aout hearing what Sarah said as well. She can be so bossy can't she!

Thank you, everyone!  Nothing wrong with a little dorky laughter, right?  I can't help myself sometimes, my brain is twisted the wrong way.   ;D

Also, I'm very curious aout hearing what Sarah said as well. She can be so bossy can't she!

And, since I hate to disappoint any of my readers, I think the phone call went something like this:

Interlude - What Sarah Said

He pulled out the cell and started dialling. Tia waited with baited breath while Mag looked very amused.

Sarah, taking a much needed break from studying with a few of her friends, grinned widely for a moment as she recognized the number.  She reached for her coffee and lifted the phone to her ear.

“Well, hello there, Jareth.  Calling to tell me you're packing it in?” she asked sweetly.

"Hello, Precious! It's good to hear your voice."

“I'm sure it is.  How are you coping with Erik and Mag?  Gytha's been forwarding the most amusing pictures to us, and we've got a whole section dedicated to you down on the notice board by the postboxes.  Your ego must be stroked by that, at least.”

He listened for a moment, then rolled his eyes in exasperation and interrupted her.

"Has there been some change with Jamie's arrival I don't know about?" he asked. "Mag is saying you need to tell me something."

“I was going to save it for what Gytha calls Snowflake Day, but I guess the cat's out of the bag.  It wasn't nice, Jareth, what you planned for poor Erik.  Lord knows he's crazy enough as it is, but to make him think he'd be handsome again and not mention to him that you were using the Goblin definition of good looking!  And don't tell me that's not what you were doing! Just to gratify your twisted sense of humour.”

He listened intently, his free hand clenching tighter and tighter, pulling the soft leather of his glove. His eyebrows met across the bridge of his nose and he scowled ferociously.

"But, Precious," he tried to interrupt again. The voice on the other end continued and he shook his head.

“And even though Gytha chose him, for reasons she explained in waaaay too much detail in her phone call, it was your machinations that started all this.  Poor Erik was horrified.  You should be thanking me, Jareth.  I've made it possible for you to continue with this project.  I'm being,” and she smirked, “generous.”

"It wasn't like that at all, Sarah. The Bunch boy was the obvious choice."

He paused again, nodding and waited for Sarah to finish.

“Since you need to learn to get people to cooperate with you in this project instead of just railroading them,” she told him, “I've decided that Erik and Mag don't have to have a rushed courtship and instant child.”  Her green eyes flickered with disdain.  “I've been reading up on the material Legolas gave us.  When they both feel ready, and by that I mean they get the wishes themselves, then they can.”

"They're much too busy right now for the kind of time that would take. We do have a schedule to keep. They're in a committed relationship now, won't that do?"

Sarah's voice was so loud that Jareth held the phone away from his ear.

“That's what's wrong with you, Jareth!” she yelled, as Christine reached over to hold her hand.  “You never consider anyone else's feelings!  Just because they're both in the house doesn't mean they feel ready for marriage or children!  No, I'm serious about this.  If I hear from either Erik or Mag that you've tried to coerce them in anyway, you forfeit.  Jamie will be along when he gets there, no sooner.”

"Alright, we'll do it your way. But I'm upping the stakes. It's a month in Paris, now.” he said.

“28 days.  I'm not going in February.  You can't mean a calender month?”

“Yes, a whole month, not a lunar month.”

“Fine.  Raoul has a lovely chateau, Chris has been wanting me to see it.”

“No, we won't be staying with Christine's boyfriend. Christine is not invited.”

“Christine is free to stay at any hotel I invite her to, Jareth,” Sarah said, winking at her friend.  Christine laughed.  “Especially the one that I find myself at with a certain arrogant fae king.”

“What do you mean, you can invite her to the same hotel?"

“As Leia's dad says, Jareth, I am altering the bargain.  Pray I do not alter it further.  You did the same thing to me in the Labyrinth.”

He noticed Mag giggling and fought for composure. "Yes, Precious. But it was only a few hours..."

“Don't even get me started on the cleaners, Goblin King!”

He gave up. "Everything I do, Sarah, as always.”

“So we have an agreement?” she asked.

 “Yes.

How in the world did I miss this story!? This has to be one of the most off-the-wall and hilarious dynasties that I've yet read. And Arlo as a serious dynasty spouse! Absolutely brilliant!

*grins*  The best part is you can like both of them! I don't think I do them justice, they've got a very complex relationship going on.

Wait no longer, the next installment is here!

Chapter Nineteen - Bird on a Wire

The goblins were pensive.  The Boss was in the worst mood they'd seen in ages.

Nothing they could do seemed to cheer him.  They'd even played tricks and set traps to try and snap him out of his blues.

It didn't work.  Peggy the Dark was assigned to stay near him and report any changes to the others.

"It's a pretty song, Boss," she told him.

"It's a Leonard Cohen song, Peggy, it's not good for him," Tia said.  "Come on, Jareth, she won't stay mad forever."

"You misunderstand me.  I'm used to her anger."  Jareth said, not looking up.

Tia shrugged.  "Look, this can't...hang on, something's up with Erik!"

Erik Bunch wonders why it suddenly got dark

"Erik!  Oh, man, Gytha better stop smacking them aliens!"

Erik escaped the theater and exhilarated by the adrenaline, went straight to the workbench.

"Mwhahaha!" he shrieked.  "Gytha, come behold your granchild!  My greatest work!"

"You don't need to brag, my lad," Gytha yelled, running down the hall.  "It's Mag what's got the hard part...oh.  One of them."

"Erik," Jareth began, menacingly, but Gytha cut him off.

"Well, lad, what's your name, then?"

"Caleb," the simbot told her.

"Come give your Nanny a hug," she said, reaching out to him.

"He's not staying, Gytha," Tia told her.  "The rules say Erik had to release him immediately."

Gytha shrugged.  "Grandkids is grandkids," she said.  "He'll be by to visit, won't you, love?"

"Yes, Nanny," Caleb said as he sped out the door.

"And you," she turned to Jareth, "can stop moping about the place.  We've got a party to arrange."

Jareth's pointed ears perked up.  "Already?"

****
"Jareth!" Erik yelled.

"Keep the goblins out of my workbench!"

"Stop giving me false hope!" Jareth called back.

"Them's gnomes!" Gytha yelled at both of them.  "Now the pair of you clean up and get ready!  The guest's will be here any minute!  And you, Miss Mag, can go put some proper clothes on!"

(There are a million versions of Bird on a Wire, but the one I'm referencing is the kd lang version at the Max.  It gets Jareth's emotions bang on.)

Not quite a wedding party, it's:

Chapter Twenty - Gytha's Elder Birthday Extravaganza!

The party was in full blast.

Tia made a mental note to look into the history of Sunset Valley at some point to see if there had been a terrible chemical spill or if Jareth's presence was having an effect on the residents.  Beside the rash of supernatural changes, something in the water had obviously affected the generation before Gytha.

Sam Sekemoto and Liana Ursine had grown up with advanced alopecia.  It hadn't stopped them from living full and exciting lives, though, and they cheered Gytha on as she blew out her candles and traded her red hair for white.

"You're looking good, Gytha!" Arlo told her.

After a flurry of activity from Jareth, Gytha sat down for the ambrosia.

"Tastes a little odd," she mused.

"I didn't have a chance to slip an herb into it, that's why," Arlo told her.

"About that, Arlo," Tia complained, "you really need to stop.  Can't you find another hobby?"

"He could play with the grandkids, if we had more than one," Gytha replied.  "Where are they, anyway?"

"On another date," Jareth sighed.  "This is going to take forever."

"I threw a wish for them to get married," Arlo pointed out.  "It doesn't seem to be helping any."

"I just thought of something," Tia hissed.  "They don't both have to get the wish to propose, do they?"

"Call Sarah," Gytha told Jareth.  "Then we're goin' out for drinks."

Jareth pulled out his phone and dialed.  He sighed and played with his sleeve while the call went to voicemail.  He tried again, then called another number.

Commodore James Norrington, standing in the hall in front of Apartment 4a, rolled his eyes when he recognized the number.  He turned away from the door and answered.

"What, Jareth?  I'm a little busy!" he shouted, as Javert continued to hammer on the door.  Sarah was desperately trying keys in the lock while the sounds of horrific violence came from within the apartment.

"I can hear you perfectly well, Jamie, no need to yell.  Do you know where Sarah is?"  Jareth asked.

"She's here, but she's got her hands full.  What do you need this time?"  James asked, stepping back as Christine came running from her apartment with a crowbar gripped firmly.

"I need to know if both Mag and Erik have to wish to propose or just one of them," Jareth said, calmly.

"Hang on," James said.  "Sarah?  Both Mag and Erik have to wish to propose?"

"He's calling now about that?"  Sarah yelled in disbelief.  The sound of breaking glass could clearly be heard now over the noise of indiscriminate yelling.

"Mr Todd!" Inspector Javert hollered.  "Open this door immediately!"

"One or the other will do, James!  Help Chris with trying to pry the door open, I think he's changed the lock when we weren't looking!"  Sarah yelled, throwing the key ring away and pounding on the door.  "Legolas!"  she cried.

"Either one will do, Jareth, gotta run, bye."  James said as he hung up.

"Well, that's a relief." Jareth said, as he hung up.  "Only one of them."

"What was all that noise about?"  Arlo asked, as they headed to the Bistro.

"Nothing to worry about, I'm sure," Jareth said.
